A few additional facts have come to light about the accident at County Roads M and 24 on Tuesday, August 17.
According to the news release from Officer Ron Benfer of the Willows branch of the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident occurred at about 10:27 a.m.
Joseph Nicholl, 34, of Turlock, was driving a 2020 Nissan Kicks west on County Road 24 and came to a complete stop at County Road M. He looked both ways, then proceeded into the intersection into the path of Dannie Myers, 38, of Willows, who was driving a 2006 Chevy Tahoe south on County Road M.
The vehicles collided in the intersection. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and the airbags in both vehicles deployed.
Neither driver was injured.
As mentioned previously in The Glenn County Observer, responses from ambulance personnel and the Orland Volunteer Fire Department were canceled when it was learned that neither driver was seriously injured.

After the two vehicles collided, the Nissan ended up in the north end of an irrigation ditch that runs along the west side of Road M, at the southwest corner of the intersection of M and 24.
The Tahoe came to rest at the edge of a driveway to a home at the southwest corner of the intersection.
The Chevy struck a post and another object at the east end of an irrigation ditch that runs along the south side of Road 24.
The vehicles were removed from the scene by Bambauer Towing of Orland.
