Here are the latest incident reports from the Orland Police Department.

Friday, Oct. 1:

2:08 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the report of a suspicious man with a flashlight on East Street at South Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.

3:51 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the Orlanda Inn Motel, 827 Newville Road, for a report of a verbal disturbance. Officers contacted Heather Mosier, 45, and Patrick Mosier, 50. Both parties advised they had an argument and were counseled.

11:26 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of two vehicles parked on the property at the Grocery Outlet, 1026 South Street, for an extended period of time. Officers contacted the occupants of both vehicles. They agreed to leave.

1:26 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at C.K. Price School. Principal Ryan Bentz reported a 16-year-old girl picked up some relatives, caused a disturbance and left prior to officer arrival.

2:47 p.m., Orland police officers responded to Sixth Street at Colusa Street for a reported hit and run collision. Officers contacted Nicholas Madden, 34, of Arbuckle, and Leon Contreras, 38, of Chico. After an investigation, officers learned that Claudio Sanchez, 36, of Orland, was driving a 1986 Toyota truck and rear-ended Madden, who was driving a 2014 Buick. Sanchez fled the scene and then sideswiped a 2018 Toyota driven by Contreras, and fled that scene as well.

3:07 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the 600 block of Sixth Street for a report of a hit and run collision. Irma Ramirez, 57, reported an unknown person hit her parked 1994 Toyota pickup. Ramirez was provided with information and advised to contact her insurance.

4:03 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center, 4444 Commerce Lane, for a reported fight that occurred between Natalie Lucky, 28, and an unknown woman. Lucky left the scene prior to officer arrival.

6:49 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 402 East Street for a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted Kieli Brown, 26, of Chico, who works for a solar company and was going door to door trying to sell his products. Brown was told of the complaint and agreed to leave.

7:26 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic collision near the Grocery Outlet, 1026 South Street. Officers contacted both parties and found they already exchanged information.

9 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of loud music at 331 Central Street. Officers contacted the homeowner, who was told of the complaint and agreed to keep the music down.

Saturday, Oct. 2:

12:08 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of trespass. Officers contacted Sydney Sellers, 25, of Orland, who reported that Manuel Perez, 35, was refusing to leave her 928 Woodward Avenue residence. Officers attempted to contact Perez at the residence but there was no answer at the door. Sellers refused any further assistance.

8:24 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 935 A Street. Officers contacted Cassandra Sarmento, 27, and Rick Lamb, 62, both of Orland. Officers determined that both were arguing over a possible neglect of a family member. Both parties agreed to separate for the night. Officers checked the welfare of the family member, who was fine and not in need of law enforcement assistance.

11:29 p.m., Ryley Nelson, 19, of Orland, reported his silver 2001 Lexus IS 300 was stolen, apparently from 29 East Colusa Street.

11:38 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of several subjects throwing rocks at another person. Officers contacted Albert Pulido II, 52, and Georgia Barrera, 56, who stated that four unknown people threw rocks at them before fleeing on foot through Vinsonhaler Park. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

Sunday, Oct. 3:

1:31 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 503 A Street for a report of a one-year-old child having difficulty breathing. Officers provided assistance until no longer needed by medical personnel.

1:05 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 144 East Swift Street for a report of several vehicles that had been vandalized. Officers found a 2013 Dodge Charger, 2014 Ford F150, and 2010 Nissan truck had been spray painted.

2:25 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 226 East Shasta Street for a reported domestic disturbance occurring. Officers contacted Rolland Rodriguez-Falt, 25, and Rhiannon Penner, 32, who were arguing. Following an investigation, Rodriguez-Falt was arrested and booked for alleged domestic violence.

4:52 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report that a tractor trailer ran over a sign on the Highway 32 off-ramp of northbound Interstate 5. After checking the area, it was found to be in CHP jurisdiction.

5:39 p.m., at 819 Newville Road, Cassandra Sarmento, 27, of Orland, reported that her stepmother, Bernice Lamb, was stalking her and taking photos of her from across the street. The matter was determined to be non-criminal and both parties were advised of how to obtain a restraining order.

6:30 p.m., at 928 Woodward Avenue, Sydney Sellers, 25, reported that Manuel Perez, 35, broke the back window to her car.

6:46 p.m., Bernice Lamb reported that Cassandra Sarmento’s husband was sitting in the back of a truck across the street, watching the house at 935 A Street. Officers contacted a man and found that he was not violating any laws.

7:06 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of loud music from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Fairview Street. Officers checked the area and found the music was coming from an event at the fairgrounds.

7:39 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a woman lying on the sidewalk in front of Walgreens, 828 Newville Road, yelling at customers. Officers contacted Patricia Allen, 51, of Chico. She was told of the complaint and agreed to leave.

8:56 p.m., on Highway 32 at County Road N, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2001 Mercedes C240. Christopher Hood, 46, was cited for allegedly driving on a suspended license, having an expired registration, and having no insurance. The Mercedes was towed and stored.

Monday, Oct. 4:

3:47 a.m., in the 600 block of A Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a gold 1997 Buick sedan for improper parking.

3:52 a.m., in the 500 block of A Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a black 2007 Chevy Trailblazer for improper parking.

10:09 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 1029 Eighth Street to contact the registered owner of a 2003 Ford truck that the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office located in their jurisdiction. Officers contacted Ana Alvarado, 50, and determined the truck was an unreported stolen vehicle. A report was taken and the Ford was recovered.

11:52 a.m., Benjamin Alcantara, 43, of Orland, reported that someone spray painted graffiti on six different locations between 73 East Walker Street and 104 East Swift Streets.

12:25 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Cortina Drive. Officers found the area quiet on arrival and spoke with neighbors, who reported they didn’t hear anything.

3:45 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to Library Park for a report of a subject wishing to turn himself in on a warrant. Officers contacted Johnny Jordan, 51, of Orland. He was issued a notice to appear for his warrant and released with a court date.

Tuesday, Oct. 5:

1:45 a.m., an Orland police officer observed a white 2004 Silverado roll back from the overpass stop sign and partially roll up on the curb on Newville Road at Interstate 5. Officers contacted Danell Springer, 44, of Orland. Following an investigation, Springer was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence.

2:30 a.m., on Tehama Street at Newville Road, an Orland police officer contacted Krishnakant Ramdas, 33, of Orland. Ramdas was arrested and booked for a misdemeanor Glenn County warrant.

5:30 a.m., Orland police officers assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with a report of a wanted person on the property at 6412 County Road 14. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

6:45 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic collision on Newville Road at Commerce Lane. Officers contacted Jeffrey Mattingly, 42, of Red Bluff, who reported an unknown vehicle entered his lane of travel, causing him to swerve and hit a road sign. The incident was documented, and Orland Public Works was notified of the damaged stop sign.

9:30 a.m., an Orland police officer marked a GMC Sierra for abatement at 300 Bell Way.

10:39 a.m., on Eighth Street at Colusa Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue 2017 Nissan Rogue. Janie Taylor, 62, of Orland, was cited for alleged expired registration.

11:26 a.m., on Colusa Street at Fifth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a silver Chevy Impala. Patrease Fields, 32, of Orland, was warned for an equipment violation.

12:08 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the report of a red Chevy truck driving recklessly in the area of East Chapman Street at Walnut Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

1:08 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 226 Gable Drive for a report of children possibly in possession of alcohol. Officers contacted several seven- to nine-year-old children who admitted to drinking a Twisted Tea, not knowing it was alcohol. The children were counseled and released to their parents.

3:15 p.m., Jolene Solis, 39, of Orland, reported her children’s father was refusing to follow a court-ordered scheduled visitation. Officers contacted Augustine Solis, 41, of Orland, via telephone and he refused to give the children to Jolene for visitation.

3:47 p.m., at 745 Paigewood Drive, Orland police officers contacted a 14-year-old boy with an outstanding arrest warrant. The boy was arrested and turned over to probation, who transported and booked him into the Tehama County Juvenile Hall.

4:26 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 315 Eighth Street for a report that Lolita Burd, 54, was causing a disturbance. Officers contacted Burd, who was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, in violation of the terms of her court order. Burd was arrested and booked for the alleged violation.

6 p.m., Orland police officers assisted with a stranded vehicle in the roadway on Newville Road at Commerce Lane. Officers remained at the scene until the roadway was cleared by Bambauer Towing.

6:19 p.m., the Orland Police Department received a request to conduct a welfare check at the residence at 232 East Yolo Street. Officers contacted Rafael Ramirez, 79, and Gladys Ramirez, 67, who did not need assistance.

Wednesday, Oct. 6:

12:46 a.m., on Colusa Street at Second Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a silver 2004 Honda Civic for expired registration. The Honda was marked for abatement.

2:17 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the Black Butte Mobile Home Park for a report of suspicious text messages. Officers contacted the reporting party and it was determined that the messages were trying to scam the person out of money. Information was provided.

3:20 p.m., on East Shasta Street at Mellane Circle, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a blue 2003 Ford Focus for expired registration and marked it for abatement.

3:52 p.m., on Sixth Street at Yolo Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a gray 2020 Ford Raptor. Larry Mann, 59, of Orland, was cited for allegedly using a cell phone while driving.

5:19 p.m., Marlon Raimundo-Tambriz, 19, of Orland, reported a person stole cash from his wallet. Officers contacted Jose Lopez, 35, of Orland, who was arrested for alleged petty theft and released with a court date.

6:20 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of trespassing at the South Street Deli and Grill, 1006 South Street. Officers contacted Richard Hicks, 50, and Jennifer Bracewell, 47, both of Orland, who agreed to leave.

7:10 p.m., at 515 Second Street, an Orland police officer marked a blue 2007 Toyota RAV 4 for abatement.

7:15 p.m., on A Street at Shasta Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a red 2005 Honda Civic for expired registration and marked it for abatement.

7:15 p.m., on A Street at Tehama Street, an Orland police officer marked a black 2007 Chevy Trail Blazer for abatement.

7:20 p.m., on Shasta Street at A Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a white 1983 GMC flatbed pickup for expired registration and marked it for abatement.
