Here are the latest incident reports from the Orland Police Department.

Thursday, Oct. 7:

12:39 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a man sleeping in front of the police department. Officers contacted Joel Alvarado, 45, who agreed to leave.

2:15 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to check the welfare of Anita Kelm, 85, who the reporting party had not been able to contact for several days. Kelm was not located in the residence at 702 Salomon Drive but arrived while officers were gathering information for a missing person report.

4:17 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a 911 hang-up. Officers contacted the residents at 1041 Trinity Street and determined that a child called 911 and did not need assistance. The child was counseled.

5 p.m., Orland police officers attempted to contact Damian Alvarez, 20, of Orland, who was wanted on several felony and misdemeanor warrants. Alvarez allegedly fled on foot and was detained nearby, on Tehama Street at Third Street. Alvarez was arrested and booked on charges alleging obstructing or resisting a public service officer (a misdemeanor), possession of a firearm by a felon (a felony), possession of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor), possession of ammunition by a prohibited person (a felony), possession of a controlled substance and a loaded firearm (a felony), and a special allegation (a felony), and warrants alleging failure to appear on a felony charge (a felony), failure to appear after being released on bail (a misdemeanor), and disobeying a court order (a misdemeanor). Total bail was set at $142,000.

Friday, Oct. 8:

2:26 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a possible intoxicated driver who was parked at the Speedway gas station, 1185 Hoff Way. Officers contacted Javier Barriga, 20, of Paradise, and determined he was not driving while under the influence.

2:41 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a woman being forced into a vehicle at the Shasta Garden Apartments, 226 East Shasta Street. Officers contacted Breanna Mounivong, 19, of Orland, who stated she was arguing her boyfriend and denied any physical altercation. Officers attempted to locate the boyfriend, but he left the scene. Mounivong declined any assistance.

3:10 a.m., at the Shasta Garden Apartments, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a silver Lexus LS460 parked in a handicapped zone.

6:10 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a collision at the Speedway gas station, 1021 South Street. Officers contacted Washington resident Yusuf Hassan, who stated as he was turning into the gas station, his semi trailer collided with the business’ fence. No injuries were reported and an information exchange form was completed.

11:35 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 762 Jacquelyn Drive for a report of a civil issue regarding child exchange. Both parties were gone prior to Orland police officer arrival and officers were no longer needed.

3:22 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to contact Jolene Solis, 39, of Orland, regarding a child custody issue. Jolene Solis alleged that Augustine Solis, 41, was refusing to follow court ordered visitation.

7:30 p.m., at 222 Butte Street, an Orland police officer observed a blue Toyota Camry parked along the street that appeared to have been there for an extended period of time. The vehicle was marked for abatement.

10:05 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of loud music in the area of Fifth Street. Officers contacted Bernadardo Martinez, 43, of Orland, who agreed to turn the music off for the night.

11:37 p.m., on Papst Avenue, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a silver Volkswagen for a moving violation. The driver, Julie Martinez-Guillen, 19, was allegedly found to be in possession of alcohol. She was warned for the moving violation and the alcohol was seized for destruction.

Saturday, Oct. 9:

12:41 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of vandalism at 120 Woodhaven Court. Officers contacted the homeowner, who stated an unknown person had thrown rocks in their back yard, causing damage to property. The suspect or suspects were gone prior to the officers’ arrival.

1:21 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to East Walker Street for a report of an intoxicated man who wanted to turn himself in. Officers contacted Allen Taipale, 34, of Orland, who was subsequently arrested for alleged public intoxication. Taipale was booked into the Glenn County Jail.

2:20 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the Shady Oaks Trailer Park to assist Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies on a report of a disturbance with possible shots heard. Officers assisted deputies until no longer needed.

3:21 a.m., on Rennat Way, an Orland police officer located a black 2000 Mercedes ML320 with expired registration parked on the roadway. A parking citation was issued to the registered owner and the vehicle was marked for abatement.

3:31 a.m., in the 400 block of Third Street, an Orland police officer located a silver 2010 Chrysler 300 parked improperly in diagonal parking. A citation was issued to the registered owner.

6:45 a.m., on Newville Road, an Orland police officer conducted an enforcement stop on a 2007 Freightliner truck for a moving violation. The driver, Harinder Shergill of Mount Vernon, Wash., was cited for allegedly failing to yield the right of way at a yield sign.

8:27 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the request for a welfare check at a residence on Fourth Street. Officers located Sharon Ebel, 79, deceased in the residence. A report was taken and the decedent was turned over to Glenn County Sheriff’s Office for a coroner’s investigation.

2:22 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a parking complaint at 339 Meadowood Drive. Karen Berry, 58, reported a neighbor parking in front of her residence. The vehicle was legally parked and Barry was told of the parking laws.

3:01 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 421 Monterey Street for a reported assault that had just occurred. Officers contacted Karman Beller, 35, who alleged that Tara Bessmer, 40, entered her residence, assaulted her and stole multiple items.

8:05 p.m., on East Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop for driving without lights during darkness. The driver, Cindy Espino-Fernandez, 32, of Orland, was issued a citation for allegedly driving without a license and no proof of insurance.

10:13 p.m., on South Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a Toyota 4 Runner for a moving violation. The driver, Jasmine Thitphaneth, 28, of Orland, was issued a citation for a defective windshield.

10:29 p.m., on South Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a white 2005 Chevy Malibu for a moving violation. The driver, Jason Herr, 40, was issued a citation for alleged expired registration and driving while unlicensed.

11:02 p.m., on Walker Street, Orland police officers contacted Curtis Hart, 54, who was arrested for a misdemeanor Glenn County warrant. Hart was booked into the Glenn County Jail.

Sunday, Oct. 10:

1:27 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 904 Winterpine Drive for a noise complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner, who agreed to turn the music off for the night.

11:49 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 1024 South Street for a report of a theft. Brian Woffard, 30, reported he had a table stolen from the back of his business, Wrap It Up Wholesale.

12:26 p.m., Orland police officers responded to Walgreens, 828 Newville Road, for a person who was allegedly shoplifting. Officers contacted Kristin Orozco, 39, of Oroville, who was allegedly found to be in possession of stolen property and heroin. Orozco suffered a medical emergency and was released to medical staff.

3:43 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 1002 Sixth Street for a report of a hit and run traffic collision. Officers found no damage to the parked vehicle and the owner did not wish to pursue the matter any further.

5:07 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 271 Gable Drive for a disturbance. Officers contacted Amanda Schatz, 37, and Eduardo Villarreal, 38, both of Orland. After an investigation, Villarreal was placed under arrest for alleged domestic violence. He was booked into the Glenn County Jail.

5:21 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a traffic collision at 4444 Commerce Lane. Officers assisted with information exchange.

7:10 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a 911 hang-up at 514 Fourth Street. Officers contacted Julissa Trenado, 36, of Orland, who declined assistance.

Monday, Oct. 11:

2:30 a.m., at 936 East Street, officers observed a parked Toyota Corolla that appeared to have been there an extended period of time. The vehicle was marked for abatement.

3:55 a.m., officers observed a Chevrolet Classic illegally parked in the 700 block of Walker Street. A parking citation was issued to the registered owner.

4:42 a.m., an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on Fifth Street on an orange Mitsubishi Eclipse for an equipment violation. The driver, Jaime Jimenez-Lopez, 55, of Orland, was issued a citation for allegedly driving while unlicensed.

10:50 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance at the Orland Manor Apartments, 817 Newport Avenue. Officers contacted Kenneth Roberson, 60, of Willows, and Eloise Lang, 61, of Orland. Officers determined the disturbance was an argument and officers stood by while Roberson gathered his belongings.

2:25 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a reported burglary at 928 Woodward Avenue. Officers contacted Sandra Ruiz of Orland, who reported an unknown person entered her residence and stole several items.

4:02 p.m., Orland police officers responded to East Swift Street and Woodward Avenue to assist Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies with locating a wanted person who ran from deputies. 9:25 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 268 Stony Creek Drive for a report of an alarm. Officers did not locate anything suspicious and did not observe any signs of forced entry.

Tuesday, Oct. 12:

3:30 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 1011 Cortina Drive for a welfare check. Officers contacted Celia Garza, 34, of Orland, who stated she was fine and not in need of police assistance.

6:30 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the Orland Police Department to contact Amanda Gomes, 33, of Orland, who requested advice regarding a family issue. Gomes was provided with information.

7:48 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a non-injury traffic collision at Dutch Bros Coffee, 904 Newville Road. Officers contacted Lynette Guenther, 58, who reported she was in a collision on private property and exchanged information with the other involved party.

10 a.m., Orland police officers responded to Orland Hardware, 820 Fifth Street, for a report of fraud. Officers contacted an employee who reported two checks were written with insufficient funds.

12:30 p.m., in the 1300 block of Brookside Drive, an Orland police officer observed a maroon 1997 Chevrolet S-10 with registration that expired in 2012 parked illegally on the roadway. The vehicle was towed and stored.

2:24 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 928 Woodward Avenue for a report of a burglary. Officers contacted Sandra Ruiz, 42, who reported items were stolen from her apartment during the night.

2:31 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the Orland Police Department for a report of a non-injury traffic collision. Officers contacted the drivers, who had exchanged information and requested no further assistance.

3:05 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver in the area of Orland Food and Liquor, 160 East Walker Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

9:41 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 725 Sacramento Street for a request for a welfare check. Officers contacted Virginia Mota, 25, of Orland, who said that she was involved in a verbal altercation over the phone.

Wednesday, Oct. 13:

5:20 a.m., Orland police officers responded to an alarm activation at 919 Papst Avenue. Officers checked the residence and found no signs of forced entry.

11:33 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 6300 block of Newville Road. Officers learned a 17-year-old boy was driving a white 2003 Honda Civic west on Newville Road, when for an unknown reason the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a sign. The boy was transported by ambulance due to an unknown medical issue.

12:22 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of juveniles drinking in a vehicle at the Speedway gas and convenience store, 1185 Hoff Way. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

12:50 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of trespass at the Orland Manor Apartments, 817 Newport Avenue. The manager of the business requested Nycole Nelson, 22, be admonished from the property. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate Nelson.

2:02 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a wallet stolen out of an unlocked car at the Dollar General, 851 Newville Road. Officers contacted Michael Wright, 46, who reported his wallet was taken out of his vehicle sometime between 8 a.m. and noon. Wright later called and stated he found his wallet.

5:04 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a hit and run at 94 South Street. Officers contacted Gloria Fuentes, 45, of Orland, who reported that an unknown truck struck her parked 2005 Toyota Sequoia and left the scene. Officers were unable to locate the involved truck. Fuentes was provided with an information exchange.
