Help the animal shelter with DIY tree ornaments

Support the Town and Country Humane Society by making a really cool-looking tree ornament, or two. The do-it-yourself personalized ornament fundraiser is planned for Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., up until Christmas. Everything needed to make the ornaments will be available at the animal shelter. A shelter worker will take and print photos for the ornament, which supporters of the shelter will then be able to decorate with glitter. The ornaments can then be taken home. The cost is $5 for one ornament, or $8 for two. Cash only. The Town and Country Humane Society shelter is located on Highway 99 between County Roads 21 and 23, south of Orland. It is a nonprofit run by volunteers committed to the idea of making life better for our furry friends. Glenn County Observer photo by Larry Judkins.
