Glenn County Sheriff’s Log

Here are some selected incident reports from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office.

Monday, Nov. 29:

1:36 a.m., deputies and Orland police officers responded to 4663 County Road E in Orland for a report of an unresponsive man in the bathroom of the residence. CPR was in progress. Orland police officers arrived on scene and began rendering medical aid. The man was determined to have a pulse but remained unresponsive. He was given three doses of Narcan. A BestWhip whipped cream dispenser with a CO2 cartridge was found in the bathroom. Westside Ambulance and Orland fire volunteers responded and the man was ultimately transported to Glenn Medical Center. Deputies collected the whipped cream dispenser and CO2 cartridge, which were later booked into GCSO Evidence in Willows for destruction. [Editor’s Note: Whip-Its usually involve whipped cream dispensers and N2O2 (a.k.a. nitrous oxide or laughing gas) cartridges rather than CO2 cartridges. I am not suggesting the sheriff’s office was wrong about what kind of cartridge was found. I am just saying a CO2 cartridge wouldn’t produce the effect that most people who do Whip-Its look for.]

2:42 p.m., Gustavo Gomez requested to report the theft of a pressure washer. Deputy Rasmussen contacted Gomez in the administration lobby. Gomez reported sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Nov. 25, an unknown suspect stole his unknown model 5.5hp John Deere 2600 PSI pressure washer from the back of his pickup. The pickup was parked behind the apartment complex at 219 North Culver Street. Gomez valued the pressure washer at $600. Gomez did not know the serial number for the item. Mclain was arrested and transported to the Glenn County Jail for booking. A complaint was sent to the district attorney.

The deputy looked out to Wood Street and observed two vehicles that had collided at the intersection of Wood and North Shasta Streets. Both vehicles drove out of the roadway and parked. The deputy contacted a 16-year-old driver and Casara Fragoso. The 16-year-old was driving her 2008 silver Ford Focus east on Wood Street in the left lane. Fragoso’s vehicle had minor front end damage and was driven away. An exchange of insurance was completed. [Editor’s Note: The girl’s name was improperly withheld by the sheriff’s office. Thursday, Dec. 2:

5:59 a.m., Deputy Thompson was dispatched to a report of an unknown male trespassing and trying to enter a residence at 6379 County Road 200, Orland. Colima-Pineda allegedly showed objective signs of being under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs. Colima-Pineda could not or would not follow lawful orders provided in both English and Spanish. Colima-Pineda was detained in handcuffs. Colima-Pineda was far underdressed for the conditions. For his safety, the deputy had Colima-Pineda take a seat in the rear of a patrol car with the heater on. The deputy contacted Cisneros, who, after reviewing her security video, said Colima-Pineda had entered her unlocked Kia SUV at about 2:18 a.m., before attempting to get into the residence and ringing the doorbell. Cisneros declined to pursue a criminal complaint. Due to Colima-Pineda’s lack of clothing (no shoes, socks, jacket) and his confusion over where he was, Deputy Thompson determined Colima-Pineda was unable to care for himself while allegedly under the influence of alcohol or other drug.
