A felon is in custody following a raid on a property east of Orland on Thursday, Dec. 9.
Members of the Glenn Investigations and Narcotics Task Force (GLINTF), along with a Glenn County District Attorney investigator and other officers, began planning the action after being made aware of complaints of illicit drug sales occurring at a residence located in a rural area east of the City of Orland.
The residence is located near the intersection of County Roads RR and 15, not far south of Highway 32.
Agents contacted several people, including Hector Octavio Salazar DeGonzales, 34, Victoria Gutierrez Alcarez, 38, and one other young adult residing at that location.
During the investigation, agents found the following items:
425.1 grams (about 15 ounces) of methamphetamine;
21.3 grams (about three-fourths of an ounce) of heroin;
20 pounds of processed marijuana;
two rifles;
one handgun;
one 50-round .45 caliber high-capacity magazine;
three stolen trucks;
four stolen motorcycles; and
one stolen U-Haul trailer.
GLINTF agents seized all of the illegal contraband, weapons, and stolen items.
At about 6:30 p.m., Hector Octavio Salazar DeGonzales, a mechanic, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance for sale, vehicle theft, and possession of known stolen property (all felonies).
His bail was set at $60,000.
He was taken into custody at 4368 County Road RR, Orland, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.
The other two residents were released from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed with the Glenn County District Attorney’s Office upon completion of the investigation.
