Friday, Dec. 30:

7:54 a.m., Chester William Johnson, 39, of Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging continuous sexual abuse of a child, lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, sexual penetration with force on a child under the age of 14, and willful cruelty to a child that could result in injury or death (all felonies). Bail was set at $315,000. He was taken into custody at 6204 County Road 17, Orland, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Saturday, Dec. 31:

2:52 a.m., Hermelindo Gonzalez Salgado, 33, of Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging burglary, vandalism, and possession of stolen property (all felonies). Bail was set at $35,000. He was taken into custody at Tehama and Sixth Streets by an Orland police officer.

8:54 a.m., Alvin Javier Maradiaga, 40, of Hamilton City, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging using or being under the influence of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. He was taken into custody on First Street at Shasta Avenue, Hamilton City, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

12:30 p.m., Jonathan Medina Chavez, 37, of Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor), and a warrant alleging failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Total bail was set at $15,000. He was taken into custody at 1125 Green Street, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

7:33 p.m., Alberto Melesio-Molina, 27, of Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging attempted murder, and battery with serious bodily injury (both felonies), and a warrant alleging failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Total bail was set at $188,000. He was taken into custody at 3992 Highway 99, Orland, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Sunday, Jan. 1:

2:13 a.m., Francisco Valdivia-Rodriguez, 30, of Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Bail was set at $10,000. He was taken into custody at 234 Sixth Street by an Orland police officer.

Monday, Jan. 2:

6:46 a.m., Joseph Elwin Robert Workman, 38, of Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging infliction of corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant (a felony). Bail was set at $25,000. He was taken into custody at 600 North Humboldt Avenue, apt. #164, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Tuesday, Jan. 3:

8:37 a.m., Mike Chester Dacey, 40, of Willows, was returned to the custody of the Glenn County Jail for alleged felony violation of probation. Bail for the fresh charge was set at $35,000, but he was also booked without bail. He was taken into custody at the Glenn County Probation Department, Willows, by a probation officer.

1:37 p.m., Stephanie Ranee Wright, 34, of Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging public intoxication (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. She was taken into custody at North Butte Street and First Avenue by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Wednesday, Jan. 4:

12:37 a.m., Joseph Ryan Corona, 28, of Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of a drug (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. He was taken into custody on Highway 99, just north of County Road 68, by a California Highway Patrol officer.

10:13 a.m., Eduardo Alejandro Barajas, 41, of Arbuckle, surrendered himself to the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Bail was set at zero.

3:37 p.m., Gabriel Lopez Baeza, 43, of Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail without bail on charges alleging violation of post-release community supervision (a felony). He was taken into custody at the Glenn County Probation Department, Willows, by a probation officer.

10:55 p.m., Jorge Luis Sanchez, 34, of Hamilton City, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging battery on a spouse, ex-spouse, date, etc., damaging or destroying a wireless communication device, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (all misdemeanors). Bail was set at $10,000. He was taken into custody at 714 Humboldt Avenue, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Thursday, Jan. 5:

8:42 p.m., Efraim Gabriel Alvarez, 47, of Gridley, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging public intoxication (a misdemeanor), and a warrant alleging driving with a license suspended for driving while under the influence, and failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge (both misdemeanors). Total bail was set at $5,000. He was taken into custody in the 800 block of Walker Street by an Orland police officer.

4:39 p.m., Veronica Burrows, 26, of Elk Creek, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging battery on a spouse, ex-spouse, date, etc. (a misdemeanor), and felony vandalism. Bail was set at $15,000. She was taken into custody on County Road 305, lot #19, Elk Creek, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

1:52 a.m., Alisa Christine Chambers, 41, of Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging public intoxication (a misdemeanor), felony vandalism, obstructing or resisting an executive officer (a felony), and battery against a police officer (a felony). Bail was set at $60,000. She was taken into custody at 745 Paigewood Drive, apt. #45, by an Orland police officer.
