Obituary: Romelia Llamas, 84

Surrounded by family members, Romelia Llamas of Hamilton City died peacefully in Chico on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Francisco Lozano and Sara Salazar on February 6, 1940.

She is survived by her daughters Carmen Llamas, Yolanda Llamas, Veronica Llamas, and Estella Herniman; son Roberto Llamas; brothers Francisco Lozano, Clemente Lozano, Jesus Lozano, and Gabino Lozano; sister Maria Lozano; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A vigil is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hamilton City. A Mass is planned for celebration the next morning on Friday, November 22, at 11 a.m., also at St. Mary’s.

Following Mass, she will be buried next to her beloved husband, Tomás, at the Catholic Cemetery located at 3900 County Road P, southeast of Orland.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary of Orland.
