Carr is hitting the road.
Pete Carr announced publicly on Thursday, March 20, that he is stepping down as Orland City Manager.
Carr was hired as city manager in May of 2012, almost 13 years ago.
Prior to that, he was the Administrator for the City of Biggs, a job he held for over five years.
Officially, his last day as Orland City Manager will be April 19, although his last day in the office will be April 10.

A special meeting of the Orland City Council was held early in the afternoon of Friday, March 21.
A closed session was held to discuss “Public Employment: City Manager”.
No reason was given for Carr’s unexpected departure.
