Here are the latest bookings from the Glenn County Jail. Remember: Everyone accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, April 27:

3:10 p.m., Travis Paul Nance, 53, a laborer who lives in Chico, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on a warrant alleging violation of post-release community supervision, possession of a controlled substance in a prison camp, and failure to pay a restitution fine (all felonies). Bail was set at $25,000. He was taken into custody at the Butte County Jail by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

5:17 p.m., Greg Wayne Gonzales, 32, a welder who lives in Mather, Calif., was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Bail was set at $10,000. He was taken into custody on the northbound side of Interstate 5, north of County Road 48, by a California Highway Patrol officer.

7:05 p.m., Michael J. Head, 64, an electrician who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Bail was set at $10,000. He was taken into custody at 1002 Sixth Street, Orland, by a California Highway Patrol officer.

Wednesday, April 28:

9:15 a.m., at the Glenn County Jail, Christopher Dean Griffith, 29, a laborer who lives in Orland, was found to have a warrant alleging disobeying a lawful order of the court (a felony). Bail was set at $15,000.

12:24 p.m., Joshua Charles Hanson, 27, a laborer who lives in Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance, and disobeying a court order (all misdemeanors). Bail was set at $24,000. He was taken into custody at 600 North Humboldt Avenue, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

2 p.m., at the Glenn County Jail, Steven Dehoyos Hernandez, 50, a laborer who lives in Willows, was found to have a warrant alleging obstructing or resisting an executive officer (a felony). Bail was set at $25,000.

3:12 p.m., La Bokeo, 40, a laborer who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging trespassing (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. She was taken into custody in the 700 block of Peach Circle by an Orland police officer. At 6:30 p.m., she was again booked into the jail charges alleging trespassing. Bail was again set at zero. She was taken into custody at 707 Peach Circle by an Orland police officer.

3:56 p.m., Brenda Darling Marsh, 57, an interior designer who lives in Red Bluff, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the combined influence of drugs and alcohol (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. She was taken into custody on the southbound side of Interstate 5 at Highway 162 by a California Highway Patrol officer.

6:25 p.m., Tara Lee Patterson, 29, an office technician who lives in Chico, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on a Butte County warrant alleging possession of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $10,000. She was taken into custody on County Road V, south of Highway 162, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

10 p.m., at the Glenn County Jail, Emilio Eliseo Delgado, 24, a laborer who lives in Corning, was found to have a warrant alleging failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Bail was set at $20,000.

Thursday, April 29:

12:20 a.m., Crystal Lynn Rothgery, 31, a caregiver who lives in Corning, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging forging or altering a vehicle registration (a felony), and warrants alleging disobeying a lawful order of the court (a felony), and disobeying a court order (a misdemeanor). Total bail was set at $50,000. She was taken into custody at Fourth and Monterey Streets by an Orland police officer.

7:03 p.m., Devin Michael Paulus, 20, a laborer who lives in Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging battery on a non-cohabitating former spouse (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. He was taken into custody at 255 1/2 County Road 53, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

7:34 p.m., Elaine Adkins Howard, 71, a laborer who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on a warrant alleging disobeying a court order (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. She was taken into custody at 1026 South Street by an Orland police officer.

8:25 p.m., William Eugene Dillion, 40, a fashion designer who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging using or being under the influence of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. He was taken into custody at 236 Sixth Street by an Orland police officer.

10:54 p.m., James Clifford Steward, 51, a tribal outreach worker who lives in Colusa, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging public intoxication (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. He was taken into custody at 452 North Humboldt Avenue, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

Tuesday, April 27:

9:22 a.m., Orland police officers responded to North Valley High School, 250 Roosevelt Avenue, for a report of an assault. Officers contacted the principal, who reported a student was assaulted. Officers were unable to locate and contact the involved parties.

11:31 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a child custody issue. Officers contacted Monica Hammond, 32, and Sean Forrester, 40, both of Orland. Officers provided both with their legal options.

2:42 p.m., Karandeep Kaur, 21, reported her mother’s white 2018 Toyota Camry was struck in the 1000 block of Date Street by an unknown vehicle on April 19. The incident was documented.

3:09 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a hit and run on Bryant Street at County Road M 1/2. Officers contacted James Blair, 56, of Orland, who reported an orange Rental Guys truck and trailer hit the guard rail on County Road M 1/2.

3:38 p.m., Ken Molen, 56, of Orland, reported his brother caused damage to his vehicle while pushing it. The incident was documented.

6:07 p.m., Orland police officers assisted with a report of a reckless driver on County Road K at County Road 18. Officers remained until no longer needed.

7:15 p.m., Orland police officers received a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the area of 819 Newport Avenue. Officers contacted the residents and determined the argument had been verbal only.

9:21 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 514 Fourth Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted Julissa Trenado, 35, who reported her ex-husband, Bernabe Cruz, 32, allegedly violated a domestic violence restraining order. He left prior to officers’ arrival.

9:55 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Officers contacted Celia Garza, 34, who alleged she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Juan Herrera, 39. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate Herrera.

Wednesday, April 28:

12:47 a.m., Orland police officers received a report of a 911 hang-up at 246 East Colusa Street. Officers contacted the resident, who was in no need of police or medical services. The call was determined to be a misdial.

5:27 a.m., Orland police officers assisted the CHP with a traffic collision on Highway 32 at County Road N. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

8:23 a.m., Jose Isabel Montelongo Barrios, 43, of Orland, reported he had lost his Matricula Consular of Mexico a year ago somewhere in Corning.

8:30 a.m., Orland police officers responded to an alarm activation at the Redding Bank of Commerce, 328 Walker Street. Officers contacted the manager, who said the alarm was accidentally activated by an employee.

10:30 a.m., Orland police officers received a cross report from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office regarding fraudulent checks cashed in the City of Orland.

11:06 a.m., Christie Amador, 48, reported someone almost collided with her this (Wednesday) morning when she was taking granddaughter to school. Extra patrol was provided.

11:14 a.m., Dee Tracy, 66, of 731 East Walker Street, Orland, reported someone siphoned gas from her vehicle sometime last night. The incident was documented and extra patrol was provided.

2:21 p.m., Thakhamphou Thongsouk, 28, reported La Bokeo, 40, had arrived at their residence at 707 Peach Circle and refused to leave. Bokeo was admonished for alleged trespassing and left the property.

3:07 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of an ongoing trespass issue at 707 Peach Circle. Officers contacted La Bokeo, 40, who had returned to the property. Bokeo was arrested and booked for alleged trespassing.

5:15 p.m., Rosa Zapata, 34, reported someone stole a diaper bag from her unlocked vehicle at the Paigewood Village Apartments, 745 Paigewood Drive.

6:23 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 707 Peach Circle for a report of a woman refusing to leave a residence. Officers contacted Thakhamphou Thongsouk, 28, who reported La Bokeo, 40, had returned to their residence and refused to leave. Bokeo was again arrested and booked for alleged trespassing.

7:27 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 901 Harryman Street to check the welfare of Robyn Pio, 25. Officers contacted Pio, who declined any assistance.

8:04 p.m., Orland police officers assisted the CHP and Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with a calf out on the roadway on County Road 16, west of Interstate 5. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

9:39 p.m., Orland police officers assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with a telephone call to 6249 County Road 15 until no longer needed.

10:41 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Orland Vision Center, 203 Walker Street. Officers located an open door and searched the building. An employee arrived and confirmed nothing appeared tampered with.

Thursday, April 29:

12:15 a.m., on Fourth Street at Monterey Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a white 1998 Honda Civic. Crystal Rothgery, 31, of Corning, was arrested and booked for two alleged felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants out of Glenn County, along with an alleged false license plate.

9:34 a.m., Aaron Murphy, 42, of Orland, reported he lost his wallet. and his credit card had been fraudulently used at local businesses.

10:33 a.m., Linda Lapoint, 71, of Orland, reported that last night someone stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle at 819 Newport Avenue.

12:49 p.m., Vanessa Navarro, 24, of Orland, reported that last night someone stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle 1117 Eighth Street.

1 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to Orland High School, 101 Shasta Street, to meet with administration regarding a 14-year-old student who admitted to recently selling concentrated cannabis on school grounds. The student did not have any contraband and was counseled. School administration is handling the incident.

3:08 p.m., Joe Everest turned in to the Orland Police Department, 817 Fourth Street, a gray Razor scooter he found. The item was booked as found property.

4:28 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 223 East Mill Street check the welfare of a 16-year-old. Officers contacted the child, who was okay, and provided resource information.

7:16 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a distraught woman looking for something in the Grocery Outlet parking lot, 1026 South Street. Officers contacted Elaine Howard, 71, of Orland, who said she was looking for her dog. Dispatch confirmed a non-citable Glenn County misdemeanor warrant for Howard. She was arrested and booked on the warrant.

8:20 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious man in the area of Orland Bowl, 507 Monterey Street. Officers contacted William Dillon, 40, of Modesto. Following an evaluation, Dillon was arrested and booked for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance.

11:59 p.m., on East Street at Yolo Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic stop on a red 2020 Toyota Camry. Angelina Ponce, 23, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop at a posted stop sign.

Friday, April 30:

5:45 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of two semi-trucks involved in a traffic collision in the parking lot of Pilot, 4444 Commerce Lane. Officers assisted the two drivers exchange information.

6:01 a.m., Dollar General employees reported Krishnakant Ramdas, 32, allegedly stole two packs of cigarettes from the business at 851 Newville Road. Management requested a criminal complaint on Ramdas. Officers were unable to find him.

6:31 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a burglar alarm activation at 203 Walker Street. Officers determined the alarm was set off by accident.

Monday, April 26:

12:15 a.m., Todd Nakata, 66, of Duvall, Wash., was driving a 2003 Buick south on Interstate 5, north of Wilson Creek, in the slow lane at about 70 miles per hour, when he fell asleep. The Buick traveled to the right, went across the west shoulder of southbound I-5, and entered a dirt and gravel area. Nakata awoke, applied his brakes, and turned the Buick sharply to the left. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise and traveled in a southeasterly direction. The Buick traveled back across the west shoulder of southbound I-5. As the vehicle began to enter the slow lane, Nakata turned the Buick sharply to the right. The Buick began to rotate clockwise back in a southwesterly direction. The vehicle traveled back across the west shoulder, entered a dirt and gravel area west of southbound I-5 and then traveled down a small embankment. As the Buick got to the bottom of the embankment, the front of the vehicle struck the bottom of the embankment. The Buick came to rest on its wheels, facing a northwesterly direction. According to CHP Officer Gilliam, Nakata was wearing his seat belts at the time of the accident and was not injured.

Wednesday, April 28:

5:15 a.m., Jesus Jimenez, 21, of Orland, was driving a 2003 Toyota east on Highway 32, east of County Road N, at 40 to 45 miles per hour. Rosa Diaz, 31, of Orland, was driving a 2008 Toyota east on Highway 32 at 55 to 60 miles per hour and was overtaking the 2003 Toyota. Diaz looked down to adjust the volume on her stereo and when she looked up she realized she was overtaking Jimenez’s Toyota. As Diaz applied her brakes, the front of her vehicle struck the rear of Jimenez’s Toyota. Diaz’s Toyota came to rest on the south shoulder of Highway 32, facing an easterly direction. Jimenez’s Toyota traveled in a northeasterly direction, across the westbound lane of Highway 32, and came to rest on the north shoulder of Highway 32, facing an easterly direction. According to CHP Officer Henriques, Jimenez was not injured. Diaz was transported with minor injuries to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

Friday, April 23:

12:04 a.m., Debbie Tadlock contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office and requested a deputy check the area near 444 W. Laurel Street, Willows, as someone had thrown something and hit the west side of her residence. Deputy McIntyre responded and checked the area but did not find anyone or a vehicle in the area. Contact was made with Tadlock and the west side of the residence was checked. There was no damage to the side of the residence and nothing suspicious was located on the ground near her residence. Tadlock requested extra patrol during the night.

12:24 a.m., at County Roads 39 and P, Deputy Tuma conducted a traffic enforcement stop for vehicle code violations on a Ford Taurus. Deputy Tuma contacted the occupants, who were identified as Joseph Peters of Elk Creek, Amber Fred of Elk Creek, Cheryl John, and Stormy Peters of Woodland. Glenn County Communications said that Joseph Peters, Amber Fred, and Cheryl John had active warrants for their arrest out of Glenn County. Joseph Peters was placed under arrest for Glenn County Superior Court case #19CR14717; Cheryl John was placed under arrest for Glenn County Superior Court case #’s 19CR14720 and 19CR14471. Joseph Peters and Cheryl John were both transported to the Glenn County Jail and released to jail staff for booking. Amber Fred was placed under arrest for Glenn County Superior Court case #19CR14718 and released on a signed promise to appear with a future court date.

12:41 a.m., Steven Trimmer requested a deputy at 600 North Humboldt Avenue, apt. #166, Willows, as Ruth Word was there and refusing to leave his apartment. Deputy McIntyre responded and contacted both Trimmer and Word. After speaking with both parties, Word agreed to leave the residence. The matter was settled by separation.

3:11 a.m., Kevin Neeley of Orland contacted the sheriff’s office, reporting his friend Alvaro Torres of Orland texted him saying someone was on his property and trying to kill him at 4185 County Rd FF in Orland. Deputies and Orland police officers responded and conducted a search of the property but were unable to locate anyone on the property. While deputies were speaking with Torres, Neeley reported an unknown vehicle was now in his driveway. Deputies and Orland police officers responded to Neeley’s residence at 4238 County Rd E and contacted Robert Wagner, who said Torres was a friend. Wagner was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Glenn County. Communications confirmed the warrant, Glenn County Superior Court case #20CR15066. Wagner was placed under arrest and transported to the Glenn County Jail, where he was released to jail staff for booking. Deputies were ultimately unable to locate any evidence of someone being on Torres’ property.

6:23 a.m., Certified Fortress reported an alarm activation at 6500 County Road 60 (Great Western Growers). Deputies responded and contacted an employee at the business. The employee was identified as Lucky Wyatt Sr. It was determined the alarm was set off accidently. Nothing suspicious was observed.

6:42 a.m., Steven Trimmer contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report Ruth Word was trying to get into his apartment at 600 North Humboldt Avenue, apt. #166, Willows. Deputies responded. Trimmer said Word had left the area. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Word. Trimmer was advised to contact the sheriff’s office if she returned.

8:08 a.m., Debbie Owen contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report her front lawn at 943 West Sycamore Street, Willows, had been vandalized. Deputy Chavez contacted Owen by telephone as requested. Owen said a line with the number 40 was spray painted on her front yard about five feet from the curb. Owen was not sure if it was done by a PG&E worker. Owen said there was no permanent damage to the lawn and requested the incident be documented.

9:19 a.m., John Zimmerman reported his son, Eric Zimmerman, was causing a disturbance and possibly intoxicated at the elder Zimmerman’s 1942 County Road KK, Willows, home. Deputies responded and contacted both parties. Eric calmed down and was counseled on his behavior. The matter was settled by mediation and separation.

9:30 a.m., Rita Spears of Orland called the sheriff’s office and requested a welfare check on her friend, Jerri Anderson of Orland, due to not seeing her at church. Deputy Turner responded to Anderson’s residence, where he contacted Anderson, who said she was okay and did not need any assistance from law enforcement.

10:53 a.m., an anonymous caller contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report two men and a woman were possibly stealing a vehicle’s license plate at South Shasta Street and West Ash Street, Willows. Deputy Chavez was dispatched and contacted Mark Daniels of Orland and David Gutierrez of Orland. Daniels and Gutierrez said they were looking to purchase the vehicle and were trying to contact the owner. Both were told of the complaint and agreed to move along. The vehicle was secure and was not disturbed.

12:24 p.m., an employee of Glenn County Public Health contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report a suspicious vehicle parked in the Glenn County Public Health parking lot, 242 North Villa Avenue, Willows, for an extended time. Deputies responded and searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

12:31 p.m., Carol Pflum requested to speak with a deputy regarding trespassing. Deputy Turner responded and met with Pflum at her residence at 4600 County Road E, Orland. Pflum said Michael Head of Orland was coming onto her property without an invitation and requested information about admonishing someone for trespassing. Deputy Turner provided Pflum with the information and advised her to call the sheriff’s office if he returned.

12:48 p.m., while patrolling, Deputy Chavez observed a white Nissan Sentra without a rear license plate parked in the Nancy’s Airport Café parking lot, 353 County Road G, Willows. Glenn County Communications conducted a records check and confirmed the vehicle’s Texas license plate (BMP5551) was expired since February of 2019. L and T Towing was dispatched and took possession of the vehicle for having an expired registration.

12:55 p.m., Kevin Neeley called the sheriff’s office and said he found a firearm on his property that did not belong to him. Deputy Turner responded and contacted Neeley, who said the firearm was found near the driveway of his residence at 4238 County Road E, Orland. Deputy Turner took possession of the firearm and later booked it into evidence

1:39 p.m., Stephen Yancy of 4239 County Road K, Orland, called the sheriff’s office and wished to speak with a deputy regarding Michael Head. Deputy Turner responded and met with Yancy, who said Head was his neighbor and he was acting strange prior to Deputy Turner’s arrival. Yancy believed Head was suffering from mental health issues and only wished to document the incident.

2:28 p.m., Reanna Biagi contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report a vehicle collision with a child at the intersection of Wood Street and Humboldt Avenue in Willows. Deputy Chavez responded and initiated an investigation. The driver was Larry Eugene Chaney of Willows. The child was transported to Glenn Medical Center to receive treatment.

3:16 p.m., an employee of Walmart contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report Josh Hanson was in the business, stealing items. Deputies responded. The Walmart employee said Hanson did not take any items when he left the business in a white sedan. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Hanson.

6:26 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to the 300 block of Sierra Avenue in Hamilton City at the request of Delores Prince, as her neighbor was playing very loud music. Upon arrival, the area was checked and no loud music could be heard.

8:10 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to 1460 Esperanza Avenue in Hamilton City at the request of Mia Gentry, as she was allegedly being threatened and harassed by her roommate, Richard Chand. Upon arrival, contact was made with both parties and it was determined no crime had occurred. The matter was mediated and settled by separation. Gentry was provided restraining order information.

8:19 p.m., while on routine patrol, Deputy Huichapan conducted a traffic stop on a white 2011 Volkswagen Jetta at the Diamond gas station in Willows for vehicle code violations. Deputy Huichapan contacted the driver of the vehicle, Melissa Pelucca of Orland, and the two passengers, Christine Norton of Willows and Johnnie Penn of Willows. After an on-scene investigation, Pelucca was placed under arrest for alleged possession of a controlled substance. Pelucca was booked into the Glenn County Jail without further incident. Norton and Penn were released and the vehicle was towed by A+ Towing.

8:53 p.m., Deputy Lourenzo responded to the area of First Street and East Wood Street in Willows for a report of shots heard in the area. Upon arrival, deputies conducted an extensive search of the area, but were unable to locate any evidence of gunshots being fired. Deputies also spoke with witnesses in the area who said they did not hear any shots.

Saturday, April 24:

9:26 a.m., Kaelene Slye contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report her boyfriend, Mike Dacey, was causing a disturbance at their residence at 2584 County Road I, Willows. Deputy Chavez responded. After speaking with all parties, it was determined the disturbance was only verbal. The matter was mediated and settled by separation. Slye agreed to leave the residence.

10:13 a.m., Maria Arias reported the father of her children, Jorge Cervantes of Chico, caused a disturbance at her residence and broke her phone. Arias advised Cervantes had already left her residence at 261 Main Street, apt. #1, Hamilton City. Deputy Goodwin contacted Arias and an investigation was initiated. Arias stated, during the incident Cervantes grabbed her wrist and took her phone out of her hand to prevent her from calling law enforcement. Cervantes was also found to be the restrained party in a served no-contact protection order with Arias being the protected party. Arias said Cervantes was driving a light blue older Toyota truck. After a search of the city, Deputy Goodwin was unable to locate Cervantes or his vehicle.

10:19 a.m., Celeste Marquez contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office requesting the removal of a coroner’s seal from 1340 West Sycamore Street apt. #102, Willows. Deputy Turner responded and contacted Marquez, who was confirmed to be the next of kin to the decedent, Celestino Marquez. Deputy Turner removed the seal. The residence and property were turned over to Marquez.

2:54 p.m., a woman reported a 14-year-old boy was out of control at a home in the 6000 block of County Road 16. The woman stated the boy was home with his mother. Deputies contacted the mother, who said her son had punched holes in the wall and in the doors in the residence. Deputies attempted to contact the boy in his bedroom but he fled out the window. The boy was found a short distance away and transported back to the residence. His mother did not wish to pursue charges against the boy and requested he be counseled. The boy was counseled and released back to the care of his mother.

3:59 p.m., an anonymous person contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report two women were fighting. Deputy Chavez responded to 2087 County Road MM, Willows. Deputy Chavez contacted Taylor Potts and Brittyn Gammon at the residence. After speaking with both parties, it was determined the disturbance was verbal only. Both were told of the complaint and counseled on their behavior.

6:02 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to the Walmart parking lot on a report of a tan van with writing on the windows, with a 10-year-old child in the vehicle alone. Deputy McIntyre responded and checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle described.

6:17 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to the front of the sheriff’s office on a report of a woman wanting to report being harassed by Joseph Maloney of Willows. The woman alleged Maloney was following her around and would not leave her alone. She also alleged she was just assaulted by Maloney when she was at Sycamore Park. She was provided with restraining order information. The matter is under investigation.

7:24 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to 459 North Tehama Street, Willows, to contact Denice Barton regarding a civil matter over people leaving their property at her residence. Deputy McIntyre contacted Barton via phone. She reported that while cleaning out her garage, she found a firearm that had been left behind by the people who had been staying at her residence. The firearm was collected and booked into the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office for safekeeping.

7:33 p.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to 819 Baywood Way, Willows, on a report from Mark Entz that Cole Entz was threatening to harm himself and had a firearm. Mark Entz stated Cole Entz was currently in a shed in the back of the residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mark Entz and it was determined Cole Entz was not at the residence. After further investigation and viewing text messages from Cole Entz, it was was determined he did not make any threats to harm himself or anyone else. Mark Entz said he called because Cole Entz had purchased a gun and he did not think he should have a gun. Deputy McIntyre attempted to locate Cole Entz so a welfare check could be done, but he was not found.

9:15 p.m., deputies responded to an address in the 400 block of Los Robles Avenue in Hamilton City for a report of domestic violence. A confidential victim reported Juan Rosas assaulted them while at their residence, resulting in visible injury. The victim further reported that Rosas had left the residence prior to the deputies’ arrival. An investigation was initiated. Deputies searched the surrounding area and checked multiple houses for Rosas, but were ultimately unable to locate him.

10:04 p.m., an anonymous person reported a complaint of loud music at 8042 County Road 19, Hamilton City. Deputy Lourenzo responded and contacted Nola Polino at her residence, which was determined to be from where the music had originated. Polino was told of the complaint and she agreed to quiet down for the remainder of the night.

11:26 p.m., Steven Castillo of Hamilton City reported a neighbor was playing loud music and he requested they be asked to turn it down. Deputy Lourenzo responded and contacted Ruben Flores at his residence at 440 Main Street, Hamilton City, which was determined to be the source of the music. Flores was told of the complaint and agreed to turn the music down for the remainder of the night.

Sunday, April 25:

12 a.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to an alarm activation at Tractor Supply in Willows. Upon arrival, the building was found to be secure. Responsible Kari Tausch arrived on scene and unlocked the doors. The building was checked and everything appeared to be okay.

12:38 a.m., Collin Stoltenberg requested an area check of County Road B, north of County Road 48, Willows, for a possible party in an orchard. Deputies responded and located a few juveniles in an orchard several miles north of Road 48. The juveniles said they were having an after-prom party. Deputy Huichapan contacted the juveniles’ parents and told them of his findings. The parents responded to the scene and the children were released to their custody.

12:57 a.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to 600 N. Humboldt Avenue, apt. #170, Willows, on a report of the neighbors having a party. While en route, Glenn County dispatch called the reporting party back to confirm her apartment number. The reporting party stated she no longer needed law enforcement assistance as the neighbors had turned down the music.

3:32 a.m., Deputy McIntyre was dispatched to 329 West Laurel Street, Willows, on an anonymous report of loud music coming from the residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with Jesus Solis, who agreed to turn off the music for the night.

3:34 a.m., Deputy Huichapan was dispatched to 9059 Highway 162, Butte City, for a report of an alarm activation. Deputy Huichapan responded and conducted an exterior check of the building and residence. After a check of the area, Deputy Huichapan did not observe anything suspicious and found the building and residence to be secure. No responsible party was available at the time of call for service.

8:11 a.m., Lorena Fragoso of 1149 Elm Street, Willows,  requested to speak with a deputy regarding an ongoing child custody issue with Billy Galbraith. Deputy Goodwin contacted Fragoso via telephone. She said Galbraith was refusing to abide by a child custody order between him and Cassandra Worthington. Fragoso stated she is listed on the child custody order as a third party to assist with the child custody exchange. Fragoso texted Galbraith to confirm he would be exchanging the child this day per the order. Galbraith responded by telling Fragoso he would not. The incident was documented, per Fragoso’s request.

9:49 a.m., at the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office in Willows, Stephen Pete requested child custody dispute paperwork regarding an ongoing child custody issue. Deputy Goodwin contacted Pete and provided him with the paperwork.

10:52 a.m., Patricia Green called the sheriff’s office and requested to speak with a deputy regarding suspicious activity near her residence on County Road F in Willows. Deputy Turner spoke with Green, via telephone, who said her PG&E was shut off for a brief period of time on April 24 and she thought it was suspicious. Deputy Turner advised Green to contact PG&E and to call the sheriff’s office if she needed any assistance from law enforcement.

11:32 a.m., Bayliss Fire Department personnel called the sheriff’s office and requested a deputy regarding trespassing at the Bayliss Fire Department. Deputy Turner responded and met with Matt Garcia, who said a female driving a green Honda Civic had been camping on the property. Garcia wished the female be admonished for trespassing. Deputy Turner later located the female, who was identified as Shirley Cabrera of Willows. Cabrera was admonished for trespassing and later released.

11:32 a.m., Bessie Moore at 239 South Murdock Street in Willows reported a gray sedan was parked in front of her garage and blocking her in. Deputy Goodwin contacted the next door neighbor, Esteban Palacios, who said he knew the owner of the vehicle. Esteban contacted Omar Palacios and told him of the circumstances. Omar agreed to move the vehicle.

1:18 p.m., deputies responded to an anonymous report of a black four-door Mercedes in a ditch at County Road 57 and South Tehama Street in Willows. The vehicle had already been pulled out of the ditch prior to the deputies’ arrival, and was found traveling north on South Tehama Street from the intersection. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Anthony Higgins of Willows. Higgins was not injured and stated his vehicle did not go fully into the ditch. He stated his brakes locked up and he slid off the roadway. Higgins’ vehicle high-centered on the roadway curb before the ditch. Deputies inspected the area where the vehicle went off the roadway and did not observe any property damage. Higgins did not report any damage to his vehicle. After the investigation was complete, Higgins was released from the scene.

3:09 p.m., deputies responded to 680 St. Johns Street in Artois regarding a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted Suzanne Ferrasci, who said her friend, Marquez Bass of Chico, broke her glass stove top and then left her residence. Ferrasci told the deputies the damage to her stove top would cost about $100 to fix. Deputies and CHP officers located Bass a few blocks away from the Ferrasci residence. Bass was subsequently cited and released for misdemeanor vandalism.

6:16 p.m., deputies responded to the area of West Laurel Street and South Villa Avenue in Willows for a report of a man lying on the ground next to the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Gilberto Rubio, who Deputy Lourenzo recognized from previous contacts. Rubio displayed objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, including slurred speech, red watery eyes, and an unsteady gait. Rubio was unable to stand or walk without significant assistance from deputies. Deputy Lourenzo determined Rubio was unable to care for himself due to his level of intoxication, and was subsequently placed under arrest for alleged public intoxication. Rubio submitted to a PAS test, which displayed he had a blood alcohol level of .232 percent (almost three times the legal limit for drinking and driving). Rubio was transported and booked into the Glenn County Jail, to be released when sober.

8:35 p.m., Deputy Huichapan was detailed to the 400 block of Los Robles Avenue in Hamilton City regarding an incident that occurred on April 24. Deputy Huichapan responded and contacted the involved parties, who had questions regarding the earlier case. Deputy Huichapan provided the involved parties with the information they were seeking.

Monday, April 26:

8:58 a.m., deputies were detailed to 861 North Butte Street in Willows for a residential alarm. Before deputies arrived, the responsible party advised Glenn County Communications that deputies could cancel as the proper code was given.

10:55 a.m., while on patrol, Deputy Tuma found an open door to a residence at 304 South Sacramento Street in Willows. Communications attempted to contact Yesenia Gonzalez, who was believed to live at the residence, but was unsuccessful. Deputy Tuma conducted a check of the interior of the residence and did not observe signs of forced entry or anything disturbed. Deputies were able to secure the door prior to leaving the residence and a business card was left.

10:59 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office lobby for a report of possible sex crimes. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, who said she believed she witnessed, and was the victim of, sex trafficking in the city of Chico. The reporting party stated she would be willing to speak with Chico police officers and said she would do so no later than April 30. The Chico Police Deputy was contacted prior to deputies’ arrival.

2:03 p.m., Deputy Sheldon responded to investigate an inmate assaulting a correctional deputy in the Glenn County Jail. After an investigation, it was learned inmate Joshua Vallerga allegedly assaulted Correctional Deputies Richard Reynolds, Shaun Beckett, and Journey Ramos.

2:21 p.m., Carrie Kiser contacted the sheriff’s office reported Joseph Maloney was following her. Kiser reported she was at 360 East Wood Street, Pacific Mini Storage, in Willows. Deputies responded and contacted both parties. Deputies learned Maloney also had a storage unit at the location and Maloney said he was finished and would be moving along. Deputies stood by until Maloney had left the property and they advised Kiser to complete the restraining order process.

3:56 p.m., the CHP requested assistance with locating a blue Ford Fusion in regards to a welfare check at 1481 Highway 99. Deputies arrived and found CHP had already located the vehicle. Deputies assisted until no longer needed.

4:07 p.m., Adolfo Madrano-Corona contacted the sheriff’s office, requesting to document his wallet being lost. Deputy Tuma contacted Madrano-Corona by phone. Madrano-Corona reported his black and brown leather wallet containing his driver’s license, about $900 in cash, assorted credit cards, and resident card were inside the wallet. Madrano-Corona reported he lost the wallet in front of his residence at 17 Donnie Lane in Willows sometime between 3 a.m. on April 24 and 2 p.m. on April 25. Madrano-Corona requested documentation for the lost wallet.

6:30 p.m., Deputy Thompson was dispatched to a report of three children drawing on the concrete around the skate park in Willows. The deputy responded to the area and contacted the three children. They admitted to drawing on the concrete with a marker. They were counselled and began cleaning up the markings.

6:49 p.m., the CHP requested assistance with a possible intoxicated driver on County Road K, Orland. Michael Head was subsequently arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence. Deputy Ayres assisted until no longer needed.

10:25 p.m., deputies responded to 3600 County Road 305, lot #17, Elk Creek, for a report of a disturbance. Leland Sisk reported his grandson Byron Burrows was intoxicated and threatening to break items at the residence. Deputies responded and contacted all of the involved parties. Deputies discovered Burrows lived at the residence. Burrows was ultimately counseled and agreed to separate himself from Sisk. Sisk was provided with restraining order information.

12:37 a.m., Cheryl Ann John, 56, a caregiver who lives in Elk Creek, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on warrants alleging failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Total bail was set at $25,000. She was taken into custody on County Road 39 at County Road P by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

12:37 a.m., Joseph Allen Lee Peters, 32, a laborer who lives in Elk Creek, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on a warrant alleging disobeying a court order (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. He was taken into custody on County Road 39 at County Road P by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

3:47 a.m., Robert Lew Wagner, 43, a laborer who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on a warrant alleging disobeying a court order (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,500. He was taken into custody at 4238 County Road E, Orland, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

10:30 a.m., Ingrid Mabel Gonzalez, 36, a student who lives in Willows, was booked into the Glenn County Jail without bail on charges alleging violation of post-release community supervision (a felony). She was taken into custody at the Glenn County Probation Department, Willows, by a probation officer.

2 p.m., Saul Perez, 32, a laborer who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of a firearm by a felon, threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize, child abuse or endangerment, and exhibition of a firearm (all felonies). Bail was set at $220,000. He was taken into custody at the Orland Police Department, 817 Fourth Street, by an Orland police officer. (Note: There was no mention of what led up to this arrest in the Orland police logs.)

5:31 p.m., Mark Douglas Johanningsmeier, 46, a supervisor (of what is not indicated in the jail’s news release) who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Bail was set at $10,000. He was taken into custody on East Walker Street at Papst Avenue by an Orland police officer.

6:40 p.m., Simrandeep Singh Bains, 33, a cashier who lives in Yuba City, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at $5,000. He was taken into custody on the northbound side of Interstate 5, south of County Road 27, by a California Highway Patrol officer.

8:56 p.m., Melissa Dawley Pelucca, 53, a cashier who lives in Corning, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of a controlled substance (a misdemeanor). Bail was set at zero. She was taken into custody at the Diamond gas station, 1300 West Wood Street, Willows, by a Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy.

7:18 p.m., Michael J. Head, 64, an electrician who lives in Orland, was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and driving while under the influence of alcohol (both misdemeanors). Friday, April 23:

8:28 a.m., Orland police officers responded to Orland Community Day School, 250 Roosevelt Avenue, for a report of an assault involving students while on the bus to school. Following an investigation, a 13-year-old boy was arrested and turned over to the Glenn County Probation Department for assault and battery.

11:18 a.m., Sydney Sellers, 24, of Orland, reported that Manuel Perez, 35, of Orland, was at her residence at 73 East Walker Street. Officers did not locate Perez at the residence but contacted him in the 10 block of Walker Street. Perez stated he was just trying to drop off his kids to Sellers and the incident was documented.

12:56 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic collision at 1124 Sixth Street. Officers determined Jesus Salas, 60, was driving a silver 1994 Jeep Cherokee and turned in front of a grey 2016 Nissan Sentra driven by John Tolley, 77. Officers assisted both parties exchange information.

2:40 p.m., Christina Adame, 40, of Orland, reported that she was contacted by Royce Morrison about her children. Adame requested the incident be documented.

5:08 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a grey 2010 Chevy Equinox being driven erratically while traveling west on Highway 32 towards Orland. Officers located and stopped the Chevy on East Walker Street near Papst Avenue. Following an investigation, Mark Johanningsmeier, 46, of Orland, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence.

9:22 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a possible shoplift in progress at Walgreens, 828 Newville Road. Officers contacted April Welches-Greenhill, 40, of Petaluma. She was admonished for trespassing at the request of the business.

9:45 p.m., Tonya Humphrey, 41, of Orland, contacted the Orland Police Department and reported a civil issue regarding a room at the Orland Inn on South Street. Humphrey was provided with information and the incident was documented.

9:50 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Orlanda Inn Motel, 827 Newville Road. Officers contacted Hasmukhal Ramdas, 63, who reported his son, Krishnakant Ramdas, 32, was causing a disturbance. Krishnakant Ramdas was gone when police arrived and Hasmukhal Ramdaswas provided with options regarding restraining orders.

Saturday, April 24:

11:58 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a reported vehicle fire at the far west parking area of the Glenn Success Square, 100 block of East Walker Street. The Orland Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire and an investigation was initiated into the cause.

5:24 p.m., Valezie Silva, 78, of Corning, reported she found a child walking down the street near 3 Yolo Street. After a short search, the parents of the juvenile, Charlie King, 39, and Amanda Darling, 32, both of Orland, were located and the child was turned over to them.

7:15 p.m., near the Pizza Palace, 704 Fifth Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a gray 2011 Toyota Sienna for improper parking in the alley.

7:45 p.m., on Walker Street at Third Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue 2007 Chevrolet Impala. Kelly Workman, 44, of Orland, was cited for allegedly using her cellphone while driving.

9:04 p.m., Orland police officers responded to Salomon Drive for a report of suspicious circumstances. Officers contacted a 15-year-old girl who reported an unknown person knocked on her door. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person who knocked on the door. The girl was left in the care of her grandparents.

10:36 p.m., Gregorio Orosco-Isasaga, 38, of Orland, reported his burgundy 1997 Buick Le Sabre had been stolen from 1313 Fairview Street within the last two hours.

Sunday, April 25:

1:45 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at Round Table Pizza, 302 East Walker Street, and found an unlocked door. The business was searched and no signs of entry were found. An employee responded and secured the door.

10:31 a.m., an Orland police officer located a burgundy 1997 Buick LeSabre in the Glenn County Fairgrounds’ south parking lot and confirmed it had been reported stolen. The Buick was unoccupied, recovered, and returned to the owner.

2:36 p.m., on Papst Avenue at County Road 15, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a gray 2006 BMW X5. Lance Mooney, 51, of Orland was cited for allegedly speeding.

2:58 p.m., on Papst Avenue at County Road 15, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white 2015 GMC Sierra. Russell Pierce, 41, of Orland, was cited for allegedly speeding.

4:15 p.m., Sharon Ewart, 77, of Orland, reported that sometime in the last three days, an unknown person broke a window on her white 1999 Toyota Camry while it was parked on the roadway at 420 First Street.

6:04 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the 700 block of Walker Street for a report of a unknown type of disturbance. Officers contacted a 38-year-old woman, her 17-year-old son and a 39-year-old man. Following an investigation, the boy was arrested for assault and battery as well as resisting arrest. The boy was turned over to the Glenn County Probation Department.

9:24 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a disturbance at the Orlanda Inn Motel, 827 Newville Road. Officers contacted Hasmukhlal Ramdas, 63, who reported his son, Krishnakant Ramdas, 32, was causing a disturbance at the motel. Following an investigation, Krishnakant Ramdas was arrested and booked for alleged assault with a deadly weapon.

10:56 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 503 East Street for a request for a welfare check. Officers contacted Serena Shelton, 60, and Sunni Chacon, 65, who both said that they were involved in a physical altercation. Both declined to file criminal complaints. Chacon was transported by ambulance for a medical evaluation.

Monday, April 26:

1:43 a.m., Orland police officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots fired. Officers contacted David Gutierrez, 33, who said his residence at 417 Second Street had been shot at. An investigation was initiated.

8:54 a.m., apartment manager Linda Basana, 67, of the Orland Manor Apartments, 817 Newport Avenue, reported a fire extinguisher was stolen. The incident was documented and extra patrol was requested.

10:25 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at Ampla Health, 1211 Cortina Drive. The response was canceled prior to OPD’s arrival.

11:24 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to contact Christine Orlowski, 47, regarding a possible restraining order violation. Officers spoke with Orlowski, who stated she was getting phone calls from a man who is friends with the person from whom she is protected.

Tuesday, April 27:

5 a.m., Orland police officers responded to reports of gunshots heard and an unknown type of vehicle speeding away. Officers canvassed the area of Date Street near Rennat Way but were unable to locate the vehicle or where the shots were fired.

6:23 a.m., Maria Chavez, 50, of Orland reported her residence at 906 Date Street had been hit by several bullets. Officers processed the scene and initiated an investigation.

“We believe it was arson,” said Dan James on Monday, probably to the surprise of absolutely no one.

James is the Hamilton City Fire Chief and an arson investigator. When last The Observer wrote about this fire, which was a couple of hours after the fire itself (about noon on Saturday, April 24), it was mentioned that Hamilton City investigators would be arriving at the scene in the 100 block of East Walker Street, Orland, at about 1:15 p.m.

Chief James indicated someone had set the car ablaze, likely through simple contact with a burning object.

But what is more remarkable than the above is the fact that Saturday was not the first time The Observer has published a story about the aforementioned automobile. Thanks to an observant Observer reader who posted a message on the GCO’s Facebook page, it is now understood that the late Honda was first described on The Glenn County Observer website on Sunday, April 4.

The April 4 article stated, “The car was missing its hood and at least two of its wheels were held on by three wrench sockets rather than five lug nuts.”

This same report dealt with an arrest of David William Gutierrez, Jr., on Friday, April 2. According to that story, not too long after sunrise on Friday, April 2, a man called for law enforcement assistance.

He said he encountered a trespasser on his property, and when he told the man to leave, the man pulled a gun on him. The property owner took off, and so did the trespasser.

However, the alleged trespasser’s car (or one remarkably similar to it) was spotted by an Orland police officer in the 700 block of Tehama Street. The officer made a felony stop (a stop made at gunpoint) and the driver was detained.

He was identified as David Gutierrez. Whether or not he was the same individual who exhibited the firearm, Gutierrez is a parolee and officers began searching him and his vehicle.

Gutierrez was sitting in the back of a patrol unit when The Glenn County Observer arrived. However, he was brought out when officers were told that the property owner would be brought by in another patrol unit to possibly confirm that Gutierrez was indeed the man who threatened him with a gun.

As Gutierrez leaned with his back against the Honda, in handcuffs and facing the street, a sheriff’s unit slowly drove by. It remains unknown whether Gutierrez was identified as the man with the firearm, but since no such charge was brought against him, it seems safe to assume that he was not positively identified as the man.

Nevertheless, although no gun was found in Gutierrez’s possession at the time, ammunition was allegedly found, and that is also a felony for a parolee. Gutierrez was booked into the Glenn County Jail on charges alleging possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, smuggling a controlled substance into a prison, and violation of probation (all felonies), with bail was set at $30,000.

Another Observer story describes an incident involving Gutierrez that happened less than a week after the above arrest. On Thursday, April 8, deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of County Road HH, Orland, for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked along the roadway.

The vehicle was described as a white Honda with a black hood.

Upon arrival, the deputies found the described vehicle and contacted the sole occupant, David Gutierrez. Deputies conducted a records check on Gutierrez and discovered he was allegedly on misdemeanor probation out of Glenn County, with search terms listed.

Deputies executed a search of the vehicle in the area where Gutierrez was seated. They reportedly found a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine, and six white pills in the front center console.

Gutierrez was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Glenn County Jail for booking on charges alleging possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, and violation of probation (all misdemeanors). His bail was set at $10,000.

According to the log item from the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, the Honda was released to its registered owner, Jennie Swope, of 301 Eighth Street, Orland. However, on Saturday, April 24, The Observer was told that the owner of the Honda was unknown, as it had not been registered since 2015.

The day before the vehicle arson – that is, at about 10:53 a.m. on Friday, April 23 – this item is found in the sheriff’s log: An anonymous caller contacted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office to report two men and a woman were possibly stealing a vehicle’s license plate in the area of South Shasta Street and West Ash Street, Willows.

Deputy Chavez responded and contacted Mark Albert Daniels of 6361 County Road 16, Orland, and David Gutierrez of 417 Second Street, Orland. Daniels and Gutierrez claimed they were looking to purchase the vehicle and were trying to contact its owner.

Both parties were told of the complaint and agreed to move along. The vehicle was secure and was not disturbed.

No further mention was made of the woman who was reported to be with the two men.

Finally, there is this item, reported in the Orland Police Department’s media logs for 1:43 a.m., on Monday, April 26: Orland police officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots fired.

Officers contacted David Gutierrez, 33, who said his residence at 417 Second Street had been shot at. An investigation was initiated.

Shortly before noon today, Saturday, Orland firefighters were dispatched to a report of a fully involved vehicle fire at 67 East Walker Street, the address for Metro T-Mobile.

The Honda was actually parked in the westernmost parking spaces for the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) employees in the Glenn Success Square, 125-127 East Walker Street.

During the fire, a loud pop was heard, the result of a tire exploding.

The owner of the vehicle was unknown, as it had not been registered since 2015. The California license plate was 6SHN536.

Arson investigators were expected to arrive from Hamilton City at about 1:15 p.m.

A week and a day ago, Orland firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in the 600 block of East Walker Street. Five juveniles were believed to be responsible for that incident.

Thursday, April 22:

7:01 a.m., the California Highway Patrol requested assistance for a man in the roadway on Highway 32 at Sacramento Avenue in Hamilton City. Deputy Rasmussen located Adrian May, who matched the description provided, at that location. May was found to have three misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Deputy Alves subsequently transported and booked May into the Glenn County Jail. Total bail was set at $23,000.

10:05 a.m., an anonymous person called and reported a possible drunk driver at the Cedar Hills Apartments in Willows. The reporting party observed a man driving a silver two-door sedan, drinking a beer while driving, in the parking lot. Deputy Lemmon responded to the area. Deputy Lemmon conducted an area check but did not locate any vehicle matching the description.

10:14 a.m., Leslie Leach of Willows called and requested to speak with a deputy regarding a civil issue. Deputy Alves contacted Leach, who needed guidance on how to retrieve personal property from her ex-boyfriend, Josh Stine. Deputy Alves also contacted Stine, also of Willows, who said he had disposed of the items two weeks ago. Both parties were advised of the civil process.

11:45 a.m., Paul Stephens called and reported theft from his roadside mailbox at 6358 County Road 200, Orland. Deputy Lemmon contacted Stephens, who said an unknown person stole his prescription medication from his mailbox. Stephens said the delivery occurred during the day on Friday, April 16. Stephens said the medication was free and he had no monetary loss.

12:10 p.m., Cristobal Perez called to report vandalism to his vehicle. Deputy Lemmon responded to Perez’s residence at 833 Fifth Street, Hamilton City. Deputy Lemmon contacted Perez and examined the vehicle. The vehicle damage appeared to have been caused by a collision, and not vandalism. Deputy Lemmon advised Perez to contact his insurance company regarding the damage.

2:54 p.m., Deputy Alves was dispatched to 310 El Dorado Avenue, Willows, to the anonymous report of loud music. Upon arrival, no music or disturbance could be heard.

3:28 p.m., Jordan Ashley called and requested a welfare check on Shannon O’Neill of 6130 County Road 4, Orland. Ashley said she works for a medical facility and was worried about O’Neill’s welfare due to medical concerns. Deputy Lemmon contacted O’Neill, who said she was okay and did not need any assistance.

4:21 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Cedar Hills Apartments, 600 North Humboldt Avenue, Willows, to an anonymous report of Seth Dominguez-Feathers of apt. #225 yelling and using bad language. Upon arrival, contact was made with Dominguez-Feathers, who had calmed down. He was counselled about his behavior.

6:12 p.m., Yesica Chavez of Hamilton City contacted the sheriff’s office, requesting to speak with a deputy regarding a dispute with a neighbor. Deputy Tuma contacted Chavez by phone, per her request. Chavez said the dispute had been resolved and there was no longer an issue. Chavez was advised to contact the sheriff’s office if the dispute began again.

7:24 p.m., Austin Weathers requested a deputy at 511 Fifth Street in Willows as his parents were currently in an argument and he did not want it to escalate. Deputy McIntyre responded and contacted Austin Weathers, Zach Weathers and Corina Navarro. After further investigation and speaking with all involved parties, it was determined to be a non-physical argument only. The matter was settled by mediation.

8:01 p.m., an anonymous person reported a man was bragging about drinking 14 shots of Tequila while walking out of Casa Ramos and getting into an older yellow Ford Bronco. The caller said the man mentioned something about going to the bank to get more money. Deputy McIntyre checked the area and located the vehicle described, parked in front of the US Bank on Sycamore Street in Willows. Contact was made with the driver, Otto Chrestensen, in the driver’s seat with the engine running. After further investigation, Chrestensen was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the Glenn County Jail.

9:40 p.m., Madison Huffman of Willows requested a welfare check on Stanley Lecorno at 1340 West Sycamore Street, apt. #247, as he was not feeling well when he left her residence. Deputy McIntyre contacted Lecorno, who said he was fine and did not need any medical assistance.

10:58 p.m., deputies responded to a report from Eagle Security regarding a commercial burglar alarm activation. Deputies checked 9059 Highway 162 and the property next door (west of) believed to be where the shop was located. The buildings on both properties were found secure and nothing was out of the ordinary.
