Here are the latest incident reports from the Orland Police Department.

Friday, April 23:

8:28 a.m., Orland police officers responded to Orland Community Day School, 250 Roosevelt Avenue, for a report of an assault involving students while on the bus to school. Following an investigation, a 13-year-old boy was arrested and turned over to the Glenn County Probation Department for assault and battery.

11:18 a.m., Sydney Sellers, 24, of Orland, reported that Manuel Perez, 35, of Orland, was at her residence at 73 East Walker Street. Officers did not locate Perez at the residence but contacted him in the 10 block of Walker Street. Perez stated he was just trying to drop off his kids to Sellers and the incident was documented.

12:56 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic collision at 1124 Sixth Street. Officers determined Jesus Salas, 60, was driving a silver 1994 Jeep Cherokee and turned in front of a grey 2016 Nissan Sentra driven by John Tolley, 77. Officers assisted both parties exchange information.

2:40 p.m., Christina Adame, 40, of Orland, reported that she was contacted by Royce Morrison about her children. Adame requested the incident be documented.

5:08 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a grey 2010 Chevy Equinox being driven erratically while traveling west on Highway 32 towards Orland. Officers located and stopped the Chevy on East Walker Street near Papst Avenue. Following an investigation, Mark Johanningsmeier, 46, of Orland, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence.

9:22 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a possible shoplift in progress at Walgreens, 828 Newville Road. Officers contacted April Welches-Greenhill, 40, of Petaluma. She was admonished for trespassing at the request of the business.

9:45 p.m., Tonya Humphrey, 41, of Orland, contacted the Orland Police Department and reported a civil issue regarding a room at the Orland Inn on South Street. Humphrey was provided with information and the incident was documented.

9:50 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Orlanda Inn Motel, 827 Newville Road. Officers contacted Hasmukhal Ramdas, 63, who reported his son, Krishnakant Ramdas, 32, was causing a disturbance. Krishnakant Ramdas was gone when police arrived and Hasmukhal Ramdaswas provided with options regarding restraining orders.

Saturday, April 24:

11:58 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a reported vehicle fire at the far west parking area of the Glenn Success Square, 100 block of East Walker Street. The Orland Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fire and an investigation was initiated into the cause.

5:24 p.m., Valezie Silva, 78, of Corning, reported she found a child walking down the street near 3 Yolo Street. After a short search, the parents of the juvenile, Charlie King, 39, and Amanda Darling, 32, both of Orland, were located and the child was turned over to them.

7:15 p.m., near the Pizza Palace, 704 Fifth Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a gray 2011 Toyota Sienna for improper parking in the alley.

7:45 p.m., on Walker Street at Third Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue 2007 Chevrolet Impala. Kelly Workman, 44, of Orland, was cited for allegedly using her cellphone while driving.

9:04 p.m., Orland police officers responded to Salomon Drive for a report of suspicious circumstances. Officers contacted a 15-year-old girl who reported an unknown person knocked on her door. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person who knocked on the door. The girl was left in the care of her grandparents.

10:36 p.m., Gregorio Orosco-Isasaga, 38, of Orland, reported his burgundy 1997 Buick Le Sabre had been stolen from 1313 Fairview Street within the last two hours.

Sunday, April 25:

1:45 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at Round Table Pizza, 302 East Walker Street, and found an unlocked door. The business was searched and no signs of entry were found. An employee responded and secured the door.

10:31 a.m., an Orland police officer located a burgundy 1997 Buick LeSabre in the Glenn County Fairgrounds’ south parking lot and confirmed it had been reported stolen. The Buick was unoccupied, recovered, and returned to the owner.

2:36 p.m., on Papst Avenue at County Road 15, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a gray 2006 BMW X5. Lance Mooney, 51, of Orland was cited for allegedly speeding.

2:58 p.m., on Papst Avenue at County Road 15, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white 2015 GMC Sierra. Russell Pierce, 41, of Orland, was cited for allegedly speeding.

4:15 p.m., Sharon Ewart, 77, of Orland, reported that sometime in the last three days, an unknown person broke a window on her white 1999 Toyota Camry while it was parked on the roadway at 420 First Street.

6:04 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the 700 block of Walker Street for a report of a unknown type of disturbance. Officers contacted a 38-year-old woman, her 17-year-old son and a 39-year-old man. Following an investigation, the boy was arrested for assault and battery as well as resisting arrest. The boy was turned over to the Glenn County Probation Department.

9:24 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a disturbance at the Orlanda Inn Motel, 827 Newville Road. Officers contacted Hasmukhlal Ramdas, 63, who reported his son, Krishnakant Ramdas, 32, was causing a disturbance at the motel. Following an investigation, Krishnakant Ramdas was arrested and booked for alleged assault with a deadly weapon.

10:56 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 503 East Street for a request for a welfare check. Officers contacted Serena Shelton, 60, and Sunni Chacon, 65, who both said that they were involved in a physical altercation. Both declined to file criminal complaints. Chacon was transported by ambulance for a medical evaluation.

Monday, April 26:

1:43 a.m., Orland police officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots fired. Officers contacted David Gutierrez, 33, who said his residence at 417 Second Street had been shot at. An investigation was initiated.

8:54 a.m., apartment manager Linda Basana, 67, of the Orland Manor Apartments, 817 Newport Avenue, reported a fire extinguisher was stolen. The incident was documented and extra patrol was requested.

10:25 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at Ampla Health, 1211 Cortina Drive. The response was canceled prior to OPD’s arrival.

11:24 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to contact Christine Orlowski, 47, regarding a possible restraining order violation. Officers spoke with Orlowski, who stated she was getting phone calls from a man who is friends with the person from whom she is protected.

Tuesday, April 27:

5 a.m., Orland police officers responded to reports of gunshots heard and an unknown type of vehicle speeding away. Officers canvassed the area of Date Street near Rennat Way but were unable to locate the vehicle or where the shots were fired.

6:23 a.m., Maria Chavez, 50, of Orland reported her residence at 906 Date Street had been hit by several bullets. Officers processed the scene and initiated an investigation.
