Tuesday, Nov. 30:
1:40 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the Speedway at 1021 South Street. The reporting party stated two unknown white males in a black sedan stole items. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the subjects.
6:25 a.m., the Orland Police Department received a report of theft from a vehicle at 94 Rennat Way. Officers contacted Cheyenne Garret of Turlock, who said she left her vehicle unlocked and a firearm and her wallet were stolen.
8 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of theft from a vehicle at 1117 Eighth Street. Officers contacted Luis Navarro, 23, of Orland, who reported an unknown person stole fuel from his vehicle. Extra patrol was requested.
2:59 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a request for a welfare check at 134 Central Street. Officers attempted contact, but were unsuccessful.
4:56 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a wanted subject, James Beegle, 32, going into a residence at 817 Newport Avenue. Officers attempted to contact Beegle, but there was no answer.
Wednesday, Dec. 1:
8:45 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a request for a welfare check on a subject laying in the alley in the 500 block of Fourth Street. Officers responded and found a deceased man with an apparent gunshot wound. An investigation was initiated.
11:44 a.m., Darin Enck, 56, reported that his truck was broken into between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1, and several items were stolen.
12:01 p.m., Samuel Erwin, 37, of Chico, reported that someone kicked in the door to a tool shed at 817 Newport Avenue and stole several power tools.
1 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Fourth Street for a report of possible child abuse. An investigation was initiated.
5:25 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of an alarm activation at Merchants Bank of Commerce, 328 Walker Street. Officers found the building to be secured and it was set off in error.
5:42 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Street to check the welfare of a 27-year-old man. Officers contacted the man who said he was just not feeling well. He declined assistance.
9:07 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a verbal dispute at 715 Second Street. Officers determined no crime had been committed and all parties were counseled.
Thursday, Dec. 2:
3:08 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a child having marijuana on campus at Orland High School. At the request of the principal, officers collected the marijuana for destruction. As officers were leaving, the principal reported the child just ran away from her mother. Officers found the 15-year-old girl, who was detained on a mental health hold and transported to Glenn Medical Center to meet with mental health staff.
Friday, Dec. 3:
8:34 a.m., on Sacramento Street at Sixth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 2003 Dodge Ram. Juan Mendoza, 40, of Orland, was cited for allegedly driving while unlicensed, expired registration, and no driver’s side mirror.
8:51 a.m., Stacy Allen, 44, of Washington reported her cell phone was stolen by an unknown person at the Pilot Travel Center, 4444 Commerce Lane.
9:47 a.m., on Tehama Street at Third Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. Lorraine Mead, 57, of Willows, was cited for allegedly having an expired registration and a missing license plate.
10:20 a.m., Nycole Nelson, 22, reported that David Gutierrez, 33, was harassing her in the 700 block of Shasta Street. Nelson was provided with information on how to obtain a restraining order.
10:38 a.m., in the 200 block of Eighth Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a grey 2002 BMW 325i. David Gutierrez, 33, of Orland, was arrested and booked for two felony Glenn County warrants and alleged possession of a controlled substance.
11:11 a.m., business owner Sukwinder Grewal, 40, reported several plastic crates were stolen from the Stop and Shop, 10 Walker Street. An investigation was initiated.
11:20 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the Paigewood Village Apartments, 745 Paigewood Drive, to assist the SMART (Systemwide Mental Health Assessment Response Treatment) Team with a welfare check. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
1:31 p.m., on Fifth Street at Yolo Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2000 Toyota Camry. Kyle Pendergrass, 18, was cited for allegedly failing to drive on the right half of the roadway.
2:28 p.m., Sabah Zokari, 41, of Orland, alleged Heidi Tosti, 37, violated her restraining order at SavMor market, 35 East Walker Street.
3:08 p.m., on Sixth Street at Monterey Street, an Orland police officer conducted an enforcement stop on a blue 2021 Hyundai Tucson. Shirley Theadore, 56, of Corning, was cited for allegedly failing to stop for a school bus with red lights activated and no proof of insurance.
5:37 p.m., Zachary Hice, 33, reported that Roxanne Hice failed to show up at the ampm mini market, 902 Newville Road, for their court ordered child custody exchange.
6:10 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to Papst Avenue at East Yolo Street to check the welfare of a man yelling at passing cars. Officers contacted Steven Stoltenberg, 54, who stated he was trying to get a ride to visit his girlfriend. Stoltenberg was counseled on his behavior and advised to walk on the sidewalk.
6:38 p.m., on East Walker Street at Woodward Avenue, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a gray 2007 Mazda 3. Tammy Proell, 59, of Orland was cited for having an alleged expired registration.
8:12 p.m., on Sixth Street at Almond Way, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a red 2014 Pontiac Grand Am. Shane Hall Sr, 44, of Red Bluff, was cited and released on a Sonoma County warrant and issued a notice his license is allegedly suspended. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
Saturday, Dec. 4:
2:04 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the 500 block of First Street for a 911 hang-up call of a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted Lucas Woods, 32, who alleged being assaulted by his girlfriend, Ashley Beecham, 34, who left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. Officers located Beecham, and she was subsequently arrested and booked for alleged domestic violence.
5:37 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to East South Street near Papst Avenue for a report of a man walking in the roadway. Officers contacted Steven Stoltenberg, 54, who was told of the complaint and agreed to stay out of the roadway.
9:12 a.m., on Sixth Street at South Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500. Daniel Gonzalez, 30, of Orland, was cited for tinted windows.
9:28 a.m., on Sixth Street at Date Street, Orland police officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a man walking along the roadway. Officers contacted Steven Stoltenberg, 54, of Orland, who declined needing assistance.
12:25 p.m., on South Street at Sixth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 1999 Honda Civic. Laura Alcaraz, 44, of Willows, was cited for allegedly driving while unlicensed and no proof of insurance.
4:34 p.m., on Colusa Street at Sixth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue Dodge Ram 2500. John Thatcher, 54, of Orland, was cited for allegedly having illegal window tint.
4:53 p.m., on Colusa Street at Fifth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 2008 Honda Accord. Saron Andrews-Jordan, 55, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop at a posted stop sign.
6:46 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a non-injury traffic collision in the 700 block of Fifth Street. Officers contacted James Nielsen, 77, of Red Bluff, who said he struck a tree while parking his white 2017 Ford. A collision report was taken.
7:07 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a domestic disturbance at 820 East Street. Officers contacted Alicia Trammel, 42, who reported being in an argument with her boyfriend, Brian Edwards, 50. Edwards left prior to the officers’ arrival and Trammel was advised to contact law enforcement if the issue continued.
10:25 p.m., on Newville Road at Eighth Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2010 Toyota Prius. Naomi O’rear, 36, of Orland, was cited for allegedly having expired registration and defective lighting.
11:07 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a loud party at 667 Salomon Drive. Officers contacted the residents, who agreed to take the party inside for the night.
Sunday, Dec. 5:
9:59 a.m., on East Street at East Yolo Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a 2002 Honda Accord. Yecenia Jiminez-Salinas, 33, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign.
11:30 a.m., on Walker Street at Third Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2009 Honda Civic. Eliver Alvarez, 26, of Orland, was cited for charges alleging speeding, driving while unlicensed, and no insurance.
2:16 p.m., on Walker Street at East Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a gold 1996 Saturn SL. Jose Maldonado, 32, of Chico, was cited for allegedly driving while unlicensed, expired registration and no proof of insurance.
5:45 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a burglary alarm at the Glenn County Office of Education, 676 East Walker Street. The response was cancelled prior to officers’ arrival.
Monday, Dec. 6:
4:45 a.m., on East Walker Street at Woodward Avenue, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a gray 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. Lionor Barajas, 36, of Orland, was cited for allegedly speeding.
8:47 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to C.K. Price School, 1212 Marin Street, to check the welfare of a juvenile previously reported as a runaway. Officers contacted the girl and determined she was safe. The child was removed from the Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
6:10 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the 4th Street Café, 824 Fourth Street, for a request for a civil standby for a child custody exchange. Officers remained on scene until the standby was completed.
7:38 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 315 Eighth Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted Eugene Reynolds, 71, and Lolita Burd, 54, both of Orland. Following an investigation, Reynolds was arrested and booked for alleged domestic violence.
Tuesday, Dec. 7:
2:42 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at Moe’s Market, 228 Sixth Street. Officers discovered the front glass door had been broken but determined no entry was made into the business.
4:12 a.m., an Orland police officer assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with translation via telephone.
8:21 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a man walking in the roadway on Papst Avenue at East Yolo Street. Officers contacted Steven Stoltenberg, 54, who was told of the complaint and agreed to stay out of the road.
8:40 a.m., Brian Miller, 41, reported two packages were stolen from his porch at 44 East Yolo Street.
11:38 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the report of a suspicious vehicle at 1068 Eva Drive. Officers contacted Armando Hinojosa, 23, of Orland, who said he was simply using his phone.
1:49 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle near Orland High School. Officers contacted Andy Phan, 18, of Orland, who said he was at the track, exercising. Pham was advised to stay off school property during school hours.
2:02 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of trespassing at Orland Bowl, 507 Monterey Street. Officers contacted employees, who requested that Steven Stoltenberg, 54, be removed from the property. Stoltenberg was provided with a courtesy ride back to his residence.
2:20 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a decomposing smell coming from a red Land Rover near Library Park. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the involved vehicle.
4:45 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at Moe’s Market, 234 Sixth Street. Officers contacted Waleeid Zokari, 30, who reported that a male came into his business and attempted to cash a fraudulent check. The check and the suspect’s identification were collected as evidence.
8:29 p.m., the Orland Police Department assisted the California Highway Patrol with a reported traffic accident on Highway 99 at County Road 20.
Wednesday, Dec. 8:
7:49 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a stalled vehicle blocking the roadway on the Interstate 5 overpass on Newville Road. Officers assisted with traffic control until no longer needed.
8:32 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Rancho de Soto Apartments, 1003 Newport Avenue. Officers contacted Sonia Lopez-Sanchez, 20, who reported her 24-year-old brother was out of control and breaking items in the residence. Officers contacted the man and determined he did not meet the criteria for a detention. The man agreed to seek voluntary mental health assistance and left with another family member.
1:31 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the Pilot Travel Center, 4444 Commerce Lane, for a report of a found firearm. Officers found the firearm to be non-functional and took it for destruction.
6:07 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a male transient causing a disturbance at CVS Pharmacy, 869 Newville Road. Officers contacted Jose Marmolejo, 38, of Orland, and determined that he allegedly stole some items from the business. Officers contacted Marmolejo’s parole agent, who authorized a parole hold. Marmolejo was arrested and booked on the parole violation.
7:48 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 322 Byron Way to check the welfare of Rosa Diaz, 31. Officers contacted Diaz, who said she was well and did not require any assistance.
8:19 p.m., Orland police officers responded to East Shasta Street for a report of a loud explosion. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the source of the noise.
10:05 p.m., the Orland Police Department assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with translation during a suspicious person contact on County Road E at County Road 12.
Thursday, Dec. 9:
3:43 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a shoplifting that just occurred at the Speedway on South Street. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the person or persons responsible.
6:15 p.m., Robert Holderness, 55, of Orland, reported that someone broke into his residence at 111 East Yolo Street and stole thousands of dollars in personal property.
