A dead man was discovered Thursday afternoon, March 27, inside an RV parked in the lot of a business on the west side of Orland.

Early in the afternoon, the Glenn County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from Jacob John Deherrera of Orland, who stated that he could see a man inside an RV parked at the Pilot Travel Center, 4444 Commerce Lane, and it didn’t look like the man was breathing.

At about 2:14 p.m., Westside Ambulance personnel confirmed that the man was deceased.

Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy Mallon responded and initiated a coroner’s investigation.

The man was identified as Roderick Oran Deleon, 59, of Red Bluff.

His next of kin, Leonel Deleon, father of the deceased, was notified of the death by officers with the Anacortes Police Department in the State of Washington.

The body of the deceased was released to Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary of Orland.
