Glenn County Observer
A resident of the Grindstone Rancheria was shot Thursday afternoon, May 8.
Reportedly, the woman who called in the incident was told by the victim that he did not know who the shooter was.
Scanner chatter indicated the victim was shot in the side.
Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, as did emergency medical personnel, although they were initially told to stage away from the crime scene until law enforcement cleared it.
The Reach 12 air ambulance was also called. The helicopter was on the ground at 2:45 p.m.
A Glenn County Sheriff’s sergeant was heard telling a sheriff’s detective, “[The shooting] may have occurred in [the victim’s] front yard. Not sure, but maybe.”
