Friday, August 6:

8:06 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 1309 Brookside Drive for a report of a disturbance between roommates. Officers contacted Tammy Sackett, 51, of Orland, who said that she was having trouble with her roommate and requested a civil standby. The matter was settled by separation and mediation.

10:32 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 132 Eighth Street for a report of suspicious circumstances. Officers contacted Henry Huggins, 80, of Orland, who reported somebody entered his residence.

10:45 a.m., on East Walker Street at Papst Avenue, an Orland police officer conducted an enforcement stop on a gray 2020 Mazda3. Gabriel Mendoza, 24, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop at a red light.

12:43 p.m., Cynthia Miller, 68, called to report that her daughter was using her cable box and messing up the settings on her TV at 79 Rennat Way. Miller was told that it was a civil matter.

1:43 p.m., Orland police officers responded to an alarm activation at 6825 County Road 15. Officers contacted a caretaker who set the alarm off in error. The homeowner was contacted and notified.

4:52 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a mother hitting her child in the bathroom at 79 Rennat Way. Officers contacted Cynthia Miller, 68, and Milissa Reckley, 30. After an investigation, it was determined that the mother spanked her child and no crime had been committed. The involved parties were counseled.

Saturday, August 7:

3:30 a.m. to 4:10 a.m., Orland police officers cited the following vehicles for allegedly being parked on the lawns of the following addresses: a green Ford Explorer at 632 Monterey Street; a silver Chevrolet Equinox at 710 Date Street; a gray 2001 GMC Sierra at 728 Sacramento Street; a white Mitsubishi Outlander at 626 Monterey Street; a gray 2016 Ford Focus at 111 Yolo Street; a gray 2010 Ford F150 at 710 Date Street; a white 1991 Oldsmobile at 626 Monterey Street; a gray Honda Civic at 110 East Shasta Street; a red 1997 Ford F150 at 906 Date Street; and a blue Chevrolet Tahoe at 1001 Cortina Court.

5:45 a.m., Orland police officers responded to County Road 15 at County Road H ½ to assist the CHP with a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway with a man asleep at the wheel. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

9:29 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a found toddler in the area of 413 Third Street. Officers contacted Lori Brooks, who reported finding a two-year-old boy walking the street, unattended. After a door-to-door check, officers contacted the child’s mother, Shanna Maldonado, 36, of Orland, and reunited the boy with his mother.

9:54 a.m., Sharon Tewsley, 57, requested a civil standby for child custody exchange. Officers conducted the standby until no longer needed.

5:31 p.m., Orland police officers responded to Orland Hardware, 820 Fifth Street, for a reported theft that had just occurred and the manager was following the suspect. The suspect was identified as Adrian Lee, 30, of Orland, who got into an altercation with the manager and fled the area.

8:46 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Street for a report of possible threats occurring via telephone. Officers contacted a 14-year-old boy and his father. The boy said he was being harassed by another child on social media. The father requested documentation and officers advised him about options regarding restraining orders.

8:51 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the 700 block of Lynn Drive for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate the described vehicle.

10:57 p.m., on East Walker Street at East Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a blue 2021 Honda Civic. Following an investigation, Gerardo Rincon, 35, of Orland, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence.

Sunday, August 8:

12:15 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of East Walker Street at Papst Avenue. Officers conducted a search but were unable to locate the described vehicle.

1:19 a.m., an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a black 2012 Ford Mustang for being parked on the lawn at 1129 Walnut Avenue.

2:58 a.m., in the 1000 block of Walters Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a white 2002 Nissan Altima for expired registration.

3:06 a.m., in the 600 block of Seventh Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado for improper parking and expired registration. The Chevy was marked for abatement.

7:58 a.m., the Orland Police Department was contacted by a city maintenance worker who reported that the sink in the restroom at Vinsonhaler Park had been ripped off the wall.

11:06 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a van partially blocking a driveway in the area of 45 East Tehama Street. Officers contacted the owners of the van, who moved it.

5:40 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of an irate customer at the Speedway at 1185 Hoff Way. Officers contacted the customer, who was upset over the purchase of fuel. Officers stood by until the matter was resolved.

9:57 p.m., Orland police officers responded to 910 Cortina Drive for a report of a 911 hang-up. Officers arrived and determined the caller was requesting medical help. Officers assisted Westside Ambulance personnel until no longer needed.

10:34 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a traffic collision. Officers contacted the 17-year-old male driver, who stated he was traveling east on the 400 block of Yolo Street in his 1999 Honda Accord and lost control when he was attempting to grab an item, causing him to collide with two parked vehicles.

11:23 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicate driver in a gray pickup. Officers located the reported vehicle and contacted the driver on Walker Street at Fifth Street. Following an investigation, Luis Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 19, of Orland, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence.

Monday, August 9:

2:46 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance at the Speedway at 1021 South Street. Officers contacted a 17-year-old Willows resident who stated she was dropped off by a male and requested a ride home. A Glenn County Sheriff’s deputy transported the girl home.

2:48 a.m., the Orland Police Department assisted the Shafter Police Department by attempting to contact the registered owner of a vehicle they had located. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone at the residence at 321 South Street.

8:56 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a reported trespasser at the Sav-Mor market, 35 East Walker Street. Officers contacted Virginia Scarbrough, 51, who was admonished for trespassing.

11:02 a.m., an Orland police officer was flagged down in the 1100 block of Cortina Drive by an anonymous citizen reporting a vehicle with expired registration. Officers issued a parking citation to the white Nissan and marked it for abatement.

11:44 a.m., on Walker Street at Sixth Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white Chevrolet pickup. Doyle Shippelhoute, 57, of Orland, was cited for inoperable brake lights.

12:09 p.m., in the 1100 block of Railroad Avenue, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white 2001 Infiniti QX4. The 17-year-old female driver was cited for driving while unlicensed and no proof of insurance.

12:14 p.m., Michele Myers reported the catalytic converter was stolen from her 2004 Toyota Prius at 232 East Mill Street.

12:33 p.m., on East Shasta Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue 2003 Ford Ranger. The 17-year-old male driver was cited for not having mud flaps when required and not having his license in his possession.

3 p.m., on East Street at Mill Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white 2009 Chevy 1500. Glenn Wright, 46, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop for a school bus with its lights activated.

3:17 p.m., on East Street at Mill Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 2000 Toyota 4 Runner. Atilando Martin, 70, of Orland, was cited for allegedly failing to stop for a school bus with its lights activated.

4 p.m., Ravinder Virk, 58, of Orland, came to the Orland Police Department to report a lost passport.

9:52 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to the Farwood Bar and Grill, 705 Fifth Street, to check the welfare of an elderly man in front of the business. Officers contacted Francisco Carrillo, 77, of Orland, who said he was attempting to contact his sister for a ride home. Officers transported Carrillo to his residence.

11:05 p.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 5, south of County Road 16. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

Tuesday, August 10:

10:46 a.m., Orland police officers responded to the report of a reckless driver on Walker Street at Fourth Street. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the involved vehicle.

11:50 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to West Mitsubishi, 624 Sixth Street, for a report of a possible conspiracy to steal property. Officers initiated an investigation.

12:51 p.m., at 900 Newville Road, Orland police officers contacted Isaac Chambers, 38, of Orland. Chambers was arrested and booked for a Glenn County civil warrant.

3:54 p.m., on Papst Avenue at South Street, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a white 1990 Ford Ranger. Lorraine Delrosario, 57, of Hamilton City, was cited for an alleged expired registration and a defective windshield.

5:22 p.m., Ramon Ortega of Orland reported he received threatening phone calls and text messages via social media from an unknown number, requesting he send money. Ortega was told it was a scam and was provided with options.

9:02 p.m., the Orland Police Department assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office with a civil matter at 3992 Highway 99 until no further assistance was needed.

Wednesday, August 11:

12:04 a.m., Orland police officers responded to 817 Newport Avenue for a report of a man who had a warrant. Officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate the man.

8:32 a.m., on Marin Street at South Street, an Orland police officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a white Lexus RX 350. Ellen Cleek, 83, was cited for allegedly failing to come to a complete stop at the posted stop sign.

9:29 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a burglar alarm at K&B Wholesale, 226 East Walker Street. Officers found the business secure with no signs of forced entry.

10:03 a.m., in the 1000 block of Cortina Court, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a 1993 Nissan Frontier for expired registration.

12:05 p.m., Orland police officers OPD assisted the Orland Fire Department at a structure fire at 510 Fourth Street. Officers remained at scene until assistance was no longer needed.

1:20 p.m., Orland police officers responded to an alarm call at 920 A Street. The residence was found secure and no signs of forced entry were observed.

2:16 p.m., at Sixth and Tehama Streets, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2004 Chevy Impala. Tammi Dennis, 57, of Corning, was cited for alleged defective brake lights and possession of drug paraphernalia.

3:05 p.m., a mother reported two juveniles grabbed her son’s buttocks while he was at C.K. Price Middle School. An investigation was initiated.

6:37 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Sav-Mor parking lot. Officers found a Ford pickup matching the description and learned it was broken down and the owners had already called for assistance.

9:43 p.m., on Newville Road at Commerce Lane, an Orland police officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a silver 1996 Acura TL. Hector Gutierrez-Lupercio, 25, of Orland, was cited for alleged expired registration and no proof of insurance.

10:33 p.m., Pilot Travel Center employee Robert Vaughan contacted officers and turned in a counterfeit $20 bill that was passed at the store. The bill was booked to be sent to the Secret Service.

11 p.m., on East Shasta Street at Mellane Circle, an Orland police officer marked a white 1993 Toyota pickup for abatement.

11:20 p.m., on Third Street at Shasta Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a silver 1997 Toyota Corolla for expired registration.

11:25 p.m., on Third Street at Shasta Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a red 2005 Mazda 6 for expired registration.

Thursday, August 12:

12:40 a.m., in the 600 block of A Street, an Orland police officer issued a parking citation to a white 2001 Ford Focus for expired registration and marked it for abatement.

4:06 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of CPR in progress at 4483 County Road E. Officers assisted the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office until no longer needed.

6:45 a.m., Orland police officers assisted Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies with a warrant arrest at 6515 County Road 20. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

8:59 a.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to 222 Butte Street for a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted a PG&E worker who was in the area doing routine work.

10:24 a.m., in the 1500 block of Maplewood Drive, officers spoke with an anonymous person who reported a family member being assaulted by another person.

2:56 p.m., Orland police officers responded to the Shasta Garden Apartments, 226 East Shasta Street to assist Glenn County probation officers.

4:09 p.m., the Orland Police Department contacted Kelly Paillon, 61, of Orland, regarding her debit card being stolen and fraudulently used.

6:18 p.m., Orland police officers were dispatched to a reported collision in the 600 block of Sixth Street. Officers contacted Monica Martinez, 35, and Jose Villacana, 70, and assisted them with information exchanges.

Friday, August 13:

3:28 a.m., Orland police officers responded to a report of a possible kidnap at the Orland Inn, 1052 South Street. The reporting party reported a black female adult was seen being dragged into a dark-colored Dodge Challenger by a black male adult, then drove away in an unknown direction. The information was BOLOed to surrounding agencies. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the car.

5:01 a.m., Orland police officers assisted the CHP with a traffic collision on County Road 200 at County Road P.
