At 12:52 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies and Orland police officers responded to the area of County Roads MM and 20 regarding several intoxicated people fighting in the road.

Prior to the arrival of law enforcement officers, deputies learned there was a knife involved and someone was stabbed.

Deputies arrived and started an investigation.

Two Latino men were transported by ground ambulance to Enloe Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

One of the injured men was the victim of a stabbing, while the other sustained a laceration to his head.

The man with the head wound was identified as Daniel Perez, but Sheriff Warren did not have a date of birth for him.

The sheriff also did not yet know the name of the stabbing victim.

According to the Glenn County Sheriff’s log, several witnesses were uncooperative and refused to provide any information regarding the incident.

Law enforcement officers were unable to locate any suspects.
