
Frank Edwin Christopher died unexpectedly at the end of January, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Ga., to Frank Ewart and Mary Ann (Duckett) Christopher on December 28, 1968.
He grew up in Clinton, S.C., and Atlanta, Ga. He was known for his great sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and creative intellect.
He spent his early adulthood in the South as a motorcycle mechanic, truck driver, and caterer. Around 2000, he moved to Chicago, where he started taking physiology classes and began the path to becoming an EMT, graduating valedictorian of his class.
After training with the Chicago Fire Department, he became a paramedic, a career which he continued in New Jersey and California. He had a wide variety of interests and hobbies, such as beekeeping, sustainable farming, cooking and baking, hiking, camping, skiing, earthing, cold water immersion, and mushroom foraging.
He was dedicated to a healthy and spiritual lifestyle. He especially loved the feeling of the presence of a Higher Power that he found in nature.
He had an effusive love for his children and spent as much time as he could with them.
Survivors include his 19-year-old son, Rylan (Shannon Coon, mother); three-year-old daughter, Liana (Sarah Zozaya, mother); paternal aunts Susan Tutt (Charles Tutt), and Joan Quillen; sisters Diane Christopher and Carol Ann Christopher; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A service honoring his life is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the CARD Community Center Rose Garden at 545 Vallombrosa Avenue, Chico.
