A Waste Management garbage truck overturned on County Road 24, east of County Road S and Plaza Elementary School, at about 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9. The CHP, Orland Fire Department, and ambulance personnel were quickly dispatched, but it was soon reported that the driver was able to climb out of the truck and was uninjured. The ambulance was cancelled. The 40-foot garbage truck was fully loaded. The rear of the truck extended into the roadway, but relatively little trash spilled onto the ground.
