With his wife, Cheryle, by his side, Rob Christian died at his home in Orland on Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born in Willows to Robert and Mary Christian on Feb. 25, 1961.
He was first and foremost a God-fearing man. He was also a dedicated husband and father.
He was active in the Masonic Lodge and a mentor to many youth in DeMolay. Most will remember him for his years of service at the Orland Cemetery.
These past several years he has been the manager. In that capacity, he cared for the final needs of decedents and for their families during their most difficult seasons.
Rob Christian left a mark on every person’s life that he touched, a mark that makes all strive to be better people. His son, Andrew, shared, “Growing up, I always wanted to be like my dad. Now that I am grown, I strive to be the best version of him. Even though he is gone, everything he taught me will live on in my life.”
His son, Kyle, said, “My father taught me to strive to be a better person and did so by leading by example. I will always keep that close to my heart. I will continue to grow and improve to be a better person. That is the best way to honor my father.”
He is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Cheryle Christian; sons Kyle and Andrew (J.J. Stark Christian); brother Fred Siegmund; sister, Teri Moulton; eight nephews; and three nieces.
Graveside services are planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, at the Orland Cemetery Gazebo. Arrangements are being handled by F.D. Sweet and Son Mortuary of Willows.
