Fire destroys old Butte City Club

Very early Monday morning, Nov. 14, firefighters from at least three departments began responding to a report of a structure fire near Highway 162 and Eureka Street in Butte City.

It was the old Butte City Club building, located at 8291 Highway 162.

The establishment has not been in operation for quite some time.

Calls regarding the fire began coming into emergency dispatchers at about 12:41 a.m.

The Butte City Fire Department was dispatched at 12:42 a.m., Glenn-Codora at 12:46 a.m., and Bayliss at 12:53 a.m.

Despite the efforts of the firefighters, the building was a complete loss.
